Not really, Keane was very similar to Gerrard in style IMO, both box to box midfielders really.
Carrick is box to box, finds himself on the edge of the area at times, but he's not very similar to Gerrard.
Gerrard(and Lampard)'s basic mindset is attacking based, Keane (and Vieira)'s more defensive.

Carrick is box to box yet Keane isn't?! Genuinely baffled here.

Rewind the clock, could you guys see Keane playing behind RVN or Vieira behind Henry effectively like Gerrard does with Torres currently?
Yes, wouldn't really have a problem with this comparison, particularly the Vieira one.

Every United game this season that i've seen he's popped up on the edge of the box having a pop.
As for less, well it's clearly Le Tissier, a free scoring midfielder sort of classified as a almost forward purely because of his laziness which was on a par to his talent..

The noise sounded proper old school, too, most Premership customers would of fainted at being in such an atmos.

Felt sorry for real fans, which is unlike me, as I'm such a misanthropic ****.

Torres out injured again :(

Liverpool really need him to be fit for the 2nd half of the season if they're to maintain a title challenge though, despite the fact they've managed to stay up there without him really having an impact so far.

BARNES OUT
Ireland in the thick of it again?
Forgotten how to read? ;)

Yeah he was. Poked home for the second and had another few chances as well. Sturridge was the best on field, played left wing in place of Robinho and dominated with his pace. Assisted both goals.

EDIT: Hart was also amazing.

Impressed with the Setanta Sports commentators before the game, they have really done their research on teams.

Eh?, how could you not have a problem, Vieira & Keane don't & didn't have the attacking game to play up front behind a lone striker like what Gerrard does ATM.
