**Official** New Zealand in Australia

It's just NZ's misfortune they lack a quality batting lineup. Bring back Fleming I'd say. Redmond is nowhere near test class imho. Or bring in Fulton. This batting lineup doesnt look that they can score above 300 anywhere.

fulton for me, mccullum isnt consistent enough at test level to bat 5, a rare talent he is, able to dig in he cannot

He's a handful on helpful surfaces. Also a fragile batting lineup helps. He was easily dealt with by India not long back.
i don't think he was 100% in india, he did well in the west indies on unhelpful pitches

could also be argued india > new zealand > west indies

McCullum- still a bit of a fraud tbh
Most over-rated cricketer in the world for mine. Loves a useless bowling attack to tear apart but when the going gets tough he goes MIA.

This Test loss hurts deep as New Zealand should have put themselves with some better bowling to the tail and not drop off and let guys like Johnson get runs. If you can get Ponting out for a total of 21 runs you can get Johnson out for less. Still the positive signs are that they can get 20 Australian wickets, which is not bad ghoing.

The umpiring hasn't helped both teams IMO.

But will they be able to take 20 wickets on a pitch like Adelaide?

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Didn't land on the pitch? First time I ever saw Johnson bowl was in a FR Cup match, and he did the exact same thing.

Haha, that was a shocker from Johnson, worst of 2008. And now they're talking about Heath Davis on the radio

Well that is true. I guess Patel will come in for either O'Brien or Martin. What is the bet Fulton will get the call in the place of Redmond? It is something that I can see happening.

Redmond needs to be replaced with another specialist opener, and not a middle order bat.
