Just because they weren't good enough to keep NZ out, doesn't mean they were poor, though. There weren't many really bad shots in the dismissals. NZ were just good on a sporting deck in good conditions for them. I, personally, will be waiting to see how NZ do with the bat before judging too much.
Yeah, but you don't expect a batting lineup consisting of such greats doing so poorly. Anyways all credit to NZ bowlers.

Must say the Aussies on here are taking this quite well, no whinging about throwing wickets away or anything.
I'm hoping it's indicative of a commonsense approach to what happened today, but maybe some people are busy :happy: I think 400 was probably out of reach given the wicket and conditions and NZ obviously used them well. 214 isn't great but tomorrow will prove interesting. Obviously if NZ come out and get 500 there'll be gnashing of teeth!

Why do we talk on here as if a good batting line up should perform equally as well regardless of conditions or how well the other guys bowled!?
