Still 214 is not too bad, if you asked Daniel Vettori before the start of play today, he would have said 'where do I sign?'.

Although it is tipped to have another storm tonight, it is expected it will be hot and sunny so it should dry out the wicket and start to flatten out. So if they are patient, it could work in their advantage.

Clarke!!! He tried in vain to not to get a century in India, this time his wish is fulfilled.

Poor effort from Australian batting lineup. Excellent from NZ bowlers and fielders though

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Beautiful effort by the boys today. Now, the biggest challenge is hee - not collapsing in a heap.

Big Fat Jesse does us proud. Now the next 30 minutes will be very interesting. I'm gonna say 20/2 at stumps unless light intervenes.

And the keg of beer breaks Aussie fans hearts.

As soon as we get offered the light, take it lads.

Performances (of those who've done something):

Southee: Exceelent bowling, really proved me wrong

O'Brien: Gun, got his revenge on Symonds. So reliable

Martin: A bit unpenetrative, but solid

Elliott: Surprised me actualy, bowled nicely

Vettori: OK I spose, didn't really do much

Ryder: Good partnership breaking

Redmond: Learn to catch, thats not the first you've dropped

McCullum: Nice keeping

And if you can't tell I'm writing that at top speed so I can go back and watch our batting effort.

Just because they weren't good enough to keep NZ out, doesn't mean they were poor, though. There weren't many really bad shots in the dismissals. NZ were just good on a sporting deck in good conditions for them. I, personally, will be waiting to see how NZ do with the bat before judging too much.
