Erm, none that are convincing. Foster would probably be OK further down the order, but then we have the problem of who should open the batting in these games. The English cupboard is embarassingly bare.Aren't there other keepers? who else is out there?
Bopara's best shout might be opening with Essex and trying to make his case for inclusion there. With Englands lack of (quality) openers, I think either Bopara or Patel will have to go. Who knows what might happen in the next game? Shah needed the runner this innings so he might not play. I recall Bopara batting at 3 in the last England series (may of been Collingwood's last game as captain as KP has been a strong advocate of Shah at 3; and he batted there the next game), so if Shah is injured, England could bring in another bowler or Wright.
Didn't Davis have a decent season opening in the Pro40?Erm, none that are convincing. Foster would probably be OK further down the order, but then we have the problem of who should open the batting in these games. The English cupboard is embarassingly bare.
Well maybe keep Colly for his medium pace dibbly doblersBell and Collingwood have to go.
Despite playing about 230 games between them, neither has a convincing statistical case for inclusion when there's 2 talented young batsmen being wasted down the order.
Solanki to open and keep?Erm, none that are convincing. Foster would probably be OK further down the order, but then we have the problem of who should open the batting in these games. The English cupboard is embarassingly bare.
Looking at the England card, it doesn't matter where you bat for your county.Bopara's best shout might be opening with Essex and trying to make his case for inclusion there.
Bell's scored more runs than any English batsmen in ODIs - including Pietersen - since the World Cup. He definitely has his problems which have been well documented but no-one else in the squad is capable of opening the batting anyway.Bell and Collingwood have to go.

yea he was unlucky he kept getting his feet in the wrong place"I was unlucky in Sri Lanka", Yuvraj Singh.
http://content-ind.cricinfo.com/indveng/content/current/story/378582.htmlThe ECB is considering a request from the BCCI to push back the first Test between England and India by a day to allow breathing space for both teams between the two-match series that starts on December 11 and the Champions Twenty20 League that ends the previous night.
Dunno if it is so great. it will shorten the break between the 2 tests to only 2 days.BCCI wants Test dates changed for Champions League

Seems to be reasonable. Would give extra day for players to catch their breath.
England will get their 3 day break once India beat them within 4 days in the first testDunno if it is so great. it will shorten the break between the 2 tests to only 2 days.
Maybe they'll postpone that also?Dunno if it is so great. it will shorten the break between the 2 tests to only 2 days.
nah cant do that. it ends on the 23rd and eng players rightly so want to be back by christmasMaybe they'll postpone that also?
Maybe its an inane form of sarcasm? Here's Pietersen: "We had a chance at 29 for 3. We lost ourselves to Yuvraj. He was fantastic. We improved from the last game. Let's hope we improve more. We need to carry on our good start with the ball. One of the top five should have gone on to a big score. I don't think we missed a specialist spinner. Samit bowled ok. I bowled five overs of rubbish."
KP 5 overs for 20 and 1 wicket.
Patel 5 overs for 37 and 0 wickets.
