He's so crabby that it is not worth the effort to get him out. I mean, with such a fragile batting lineup around him, the bowlers obv would look at getting cheap wickets.

BTW Am not overtly impressed by some of his innings, like the other day he scored 100 off 149 balls, and virtually took the gas out of the run rate. But he is indispensable.
Yeah, in ODIs Chanderpaul comes into his own on more difficult pitches when 100 off 149 is an excellent contribution. On flat tracks he can struggle a bit to keep the run rate up, but as you say, he's still indispensable.

In tests, Shiv>everyone.

Has anyne noted how quite a large of ODI playing kits are lergely green?
South Africa
Kenya
Bangladesh
Australia on occasion
Pakistan do have green kit
Bangladesh
Ireland

Maybe that should be declared the official colour of ODI kits like white is for FC cricket
You'll also notice only once has a green clad team won a World Cup. Green is what seperates the loser teams from the winners :p

Chanderpaul in ODIs is like making Dravid India's top ODI batsman without a Tendulkar or a Ganguly or a Sehwag to speed things up from the other end.

Off topic guys,

Who of you missed the blinder taken by Justin Kemp in 2nd Final in ICL?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDg323eSdPM

One of the best catches ever taken in Cricket!
Just watched the longer clip and I cant believe the behaviour of Inzi, Sami, Azhar Mahmood and the Lahore team.

Protesting the catch, arguing with the umpire, holding the gameup and refusing to leave the field. Absolute disgrace. Completely sucks the enjoyment out of cricket.

Can we have 1 week without some form of Pakistan farce and controversy?

Garnered two bits of cricket related trivia from today's paper:

1) Cricket's expansion was helped by the development of the railways in the mid 19th century.

2) The actor Trevor Howard had it written into every one of his contracts that the could have each day when England played tests off.

I'm ****ing sick of hearing about Andrew Symonds. Sure, the bloke is a talented cricketer, but I swear I'll go nuts if I see another article about "redemption" or some other **** about his problems and possible return to the test team. Fair enough if someone wants to write an article on it, but ffs there has been about 10 over the past fortnight in the Courier & Sunday Mail about it all. What's worse, is that when he plays Thursday, we'll get another 10 about how he has reconciled with the team, and how he's rehabilited, re-focused blah blah ****ing blah.

Find something else to write about ffs.

Is there any online footage of Tendulkar's innings from the Princess Diana Memorial match?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sport/cricket/135014.stm

Excellent cast for both teams and Tendulkar scoring 125 off 114 against an attack of McGrath, Donald, Srinath, Kumble and McMillan *drool*
I think there is, however my bandwidth sucks here so can't search for you.

What a match! I think he was captaining one side. (There is a shot of his against McG I spose)

Run outs, just a few questions.

a) What makes a run out, 'run out?'
b) What makes a run out, 'run out Smith?'
c) What makes a run out, 'run out Smith/Jones/Brown?'

Only run out - dont know and see this term these days!

Run out - Smith = Direct hit from Smith
Run out - Smith / Jones / Brown = Smith threw it to Jones and he took the bails off

I also think there are better options for the One Day team as well, but as you'll get to find out I'm not one of the biggest Yuvraj fans on CW. Can't stand the bloke to be honest.
I acknowledge all of Yuvi's flaws, but how is he 'unreliable' in crunch situations (I'm referring here to ODIs)?
Think he's confirmed why he belongs in our ODI team now :)
