Vettori has a word to Vettori about the cleaning of the ball, and returns to his umpiring position behind the stumps. Groundsman Vettori moves the sightscreen, while Vettori walks around selling ice creams as Vettori converses with Slater in the commentary box.

10.2 Vettori to Hayden, huge shout for LBW from the bowler and Vettori behind the stumps. Umpire shakes his head, not out. Vettori walks up to Hayden from first slip and has a heated word before captain Vettori comes across from cover to break it up.

This is bad captaincy, why give overs to rubbish spinners when you could have just kept bowling Henriques. 8 overs to Smith?

Ah the joys of a classic NZ batting collapse. Between us and the English (sorry GIMH:ph34r: ) we've made it a fine art. I wish we could predict these days, then we could field an NZ A XI and they'd probably score more runs, I mean, half of them should be ahead of Redmond and Flynn for a start.

In saying that, despite not doing much in this innings, if How and Ryder can turn those glimpses of form that they've shown over the past few games into consistency then the top 3 will have two good players! Such a rarity for us post Richardson.

ATM though the stage is set for the grand entrance of Bahnz to delight in the misery once again. :)
