Flintoff rarely opens, hes like a back up kinda of thing. As in England know hes great so they rather the other bowlers get lucky b4 bringin him on.

Fred has to take the new ball out here. Broad has no potency.
He rarely does, but he's still gotten a crapload of wickets over the last year.

Last 21 games he averages 21.44, and his economy-rate while not good at all at 4.53-an-over isn't anywhere near as poor as it was previously and has tended to be in the longer game.

Freddo showing his class already. why he didn't open the bowling.
Hardly ever does, he's not I don't think an opening bowler by preference.

Anderson and Broad have opened the bowling in just about every ODI they've played together.

Bopara batting eight is utterly ridiculous.

You want a waste of a place, waste it on a waste of space like Luke Wright, not on a potential top-order batsman whose credentials can only be damaged by playing such an insignificant role.

Indian 50 up.

Hoho, so this game is the start of this batting-side-taking-Powerplay lark. ITSTL, will be funny to see how this goes.

If I remember correctly Rajkot used to be a 300par pitch till they re-laid it. Nowadays 250-260 is a good score. India is 20% there already

Who chooses which Powerplay is the two-man one and which is the three-man one, does anyone know?

Or is it a case of whoever gets there first?

What I like in Gambhir these days, that in ODIs, he is always positive. Trying to rotate strike, getting boundaries off the bad ones, never a negative body language.
