***Official Australia in India***

Interesting really. Aus are 98 behind, say they get all out with a 60 run deficit. India have got full 2 days to go for a draw or a win. And if Aus gets them for a paltry score, say 150 odd, or 200, it's a match for Aus to win!
Yep, which is very gettable for this aussie side, who will have nothing to lose chasing the match.
Comes down to Krazy for mine, out-spinning the indians is no mean feat, of course he has the advantage of never having played him before but 8 wickets is something else.

Looks like they may be playing for stumps, to give bing time to recover ??

Anyone else feel that this partnership is pretty crucial to this game? Going in 80 behind, and batting last, I wouldn't give Australia much hope. If they could get that down to almost on a par, it would really set it up imo.
edit. Or what the duder 2 above said....

India is playing for stumps i think. Obv they don't want Sehwag out in near-darkness. (due to shadows)

The problem with that is that a) pitch hasn't broken as much one expected it to by now and b) Australia are probably already a bowler down with Lee being ill, so it would take something really really special from Australia to even have sniff of winning from here, from where i see it India might just bat Australia out of this game and series in the 2nd innings..

I don;t understand the aussie tactics there, I am trying to understand why they didn't; attack earlier ???

Only reason I can think while its seems a bit odd, would be to give Lee time to rest before batting.

What were they waiting for ??

Done and dusted. Impressive comeback from India following the pasting yesterday.

Australia (today) - 166/8 in 84.5 overs. Terrible.

India still got 1 over to survive there.

Really feel like we're missing Clark.

Especially with Lee sick, I just can't see who's going to take the wickets for Australia to bowl India out tomorrow and have a chance at winning this. At least I can see the possibility for things to click for Clark and for him to take a bag of wickets.

India should fairly comfortably put the series out of Australia's reach by tea tomorrow with a 250+ lead with wickets in hand.

Puzzling really. In the end, they didnt get the runs, nor they could prevent being all out today. I thought once the spinners came on batsmen would take some chance. A RR of 2 all over the day just makes no sense.

Its a bit weird, if they were looking to be attacking they should have done it a lot earlier and they then could have had a few more overs at the Indian batsmen tonight.

Yeah, I don't think they will fall for the Crazy trap this innings, give him due respect and hang in there for a 3.5 RPO. If they bat till an hour after tea, they'll be about 300 ahead.

I'll put it this way, If I see Ponting resorting to a deep point and deep sq leg, I'll write off any chances of Australia squaring this series.

This has to be easily one of the worst day' Australia have had in this series, just throwed away all the advantage that was with them on the end of day 2, with Lee not well there is no way we would bowl the Indian team out cheaply.

The most frustrating thing today was that apart from Clarke and Katich, all the other batsmen just got themselves out rather than the bowlers doing anything special.
