***Official Australia in India***

This has to be easily one of the worst day' Australia have had in this series, just throwed away all the advantage that was with them on the end of day 2, with Lee not well there is no way we would bowl the Indian team out cheaply.

The most frustrating thing today was that apart from Clarke and Katich, all the other batsmen just got themselves out rather than the bowlers doing anything special.
Add in Krejza also, that was a ripper from Sharma.

Won't have been a bad idea to give Krejza the one over today, could have lured Sehwag into playing a rash shot.

This has been a terrible series for the bowlers. Look at these live averages- only Krejza, Mishra and Ishant have got averages under 30, with several others going over 35, and a few, including Brett Lee, going over 60. Are flat pitches playing a part here? Or defensive cricket? The batsmen, most of them maintaining averages over 50, are partly responsible.

There's talk Lee was ill before the game started, anyone know anything about this ?

Still reckon they should've played Clark.

Yeah, the pitches have to cope a good part of the blame. And Kumble and Harbhajan have underachieved on helpful surfaces.

"He has been talking a lot, and by getting him 10 times (overall) I've shown who is the boss."
Harbhajan Singh can't resist taking a dig at Ricky Ponting

Hahaha, Bhajji upto his ol' tricks again. Hope this motivates Punter to go and play a match-saving/winning century in the last innings.

Flat negative pitches, good to have 5 days coverage for TV, but bad for quality of cricket.

Probably been said earlier but anyway:

The Buzz said:
Ganguly gives selectors a hand

Sourav Ganguly may be playing his last international game in Nagpur, but it seems he continues to have an impact on the team for the future. Kris Srikkanth, India’s chief selector, has revealed that M Vijay, the Tamil Nadu debutant, was drafted into the Test squad after an endorsement from Ganguly.

“Sourav played with him in the India A match [against New Zealand last month] and he specifically told me that Vijay 'is a guy whom you have to look seriously’,” Srikkanth told Times of India. “I took his words very seriously because when a player of Ganguly’s wisdom endorses someone, he has to be special.

"Dav Whatmore [India A coach] too spoke highly of him and even my co-selectors, who saw him in the Challenger Series, were very impressed.” Srikkanth said Vijay’s strong domestic performance also mattered a lot in his surprise selection for the Australia Test and the ODI series against England that follows.
Ganguly WAG.

Funny you said "defended without much fuss" when he couldnt prevent it falling onto his stumps. Remember it was no inside edge or such thing.

I think its needs to wiped out, the ICC needs to have a look into it, imo a team shouldn't be allowed to place more than two-third of their fielders on one side of the wicket, as it just isn't fair on the batsmen, test cricket already is fighting a battle for survival and such tactics could only make matters worse.
Nah, find your own VVS tbh. Learn to work the ball from outside off towards mid on.
