Funny yes, but personally don't think umpires should be doing that.Loved Bowden's reaction to that appeal.

Still don't think Symonds is a long term option in tests. We have Hussey who can potentially average 50 in tests and we're just wasting him. Sure Symonds average over 60 over the last year but I think that was largely due to dropped catches and lucky decisions. Hussey can also bowl offspin too.Well i think symmo will help that out. Even though his first class games have been hugely below par. i think his highest score was 19? (dont quote me i just guessin)
Perfectly summed up. Awesome captaincy by Dhoni, choke and conquer. What a horrible session that was, still finding it hard to believe Australia have driven themselves into such a predicament after being in the kind of position they were in at the end of day' play yesterday, credit to India too, whether one likes their tactic or not it worked for them and Australia played right into their hands by not scoring any runs and losing all these wickets.
Not pretty, but effective. Necessary evil. What's your opinion of the 'choke treatment'? I find this style, very similar to Sri Lanka's, quite annoying, though it actually yields results.
Well that's the thing, reckon Dhoni's done well to put the Aussies out of their comfort zone and he's reaping the reward from it now. He understood the situation perfectly and did what needed to be done. Bowlers bowling to their fields help as well.I know there's an element of damned if you do and damned if you don't, but it isn't usually the Australian way to die wondering, is it?
Im sure he can but has it ever happened in a test match? and what is his first class average? Then comes the major question... will it effect his batting?Still don't think Symonds is a long term option in tests. I think its needs to wiped out, the ICC needs to have a look into it, imo a team shouldn't be allowed to place more than two-third of their fielders on one side of the wicket, as it just isn't fair on the batsmen, test cricket already is fighting a battle for survival and such tactics could only make matters worse. What's your opinion of the 'choke treatment'? What'd he do?Funny yes, but personally don't think umpires should be doing that.
Haha, fielding restrictions for Test matches now? GTFO!I think its needs to wiped out, the ICC needs to have a look into it, imo a team shouldn't be allowed to place more than two-third of their fielders on one side of the wicket, as it just isn't fair on the batsmen, test cricket already is fighting a battle for survival and such tactics could only make matters worse.
Dire appeal, he facepalmed and laughed. What'd he do?
Disagree, this choke treatment has only added to the charm of Test cricket. On a pretty batting pitch, if one team is able to pressurise by bowling like this, it means the other side simply has not been upto the task.I think its needs to wiped out, the ICC needs to have a look into it, imo a team shouldn't be allowed to place more than two-third of their fielders on one side of the wicket, as it just isn't fair on the batsmen, test cricket already is fighting a battle for survival and such tactics could only make matters worse.
Not taking about any sort of fielding restrictions, but the fielding team should not be allowed to to pack one side of the field with almost every fielder they have and block every thinkable gap and bowl wide of the stumps.Haha, fielding restrictions for Test matches now? GTFO!
and if india win this test still thay will have to do that....these all facts make test cricket...great if wht you are saying implemented on the first morning on a green top fielding team will ahve to place minimum 4 fielders on the leg side !!!!!!!I think its needs to wiped out, the ICC needs to have a look into it, imo a team shouldn't be allowed to place more than two-third of their fielders on one side of the wicket, as it just isn't fair on the batsmen, test cricket already is fighting a battle for survival and such tactics could only make matters worse.
