Yup Aussies would have to think a bit out of the box and probably maybe even take a few risks because their serious need to push the tempo of this innings.

P.S: Ball reversing = Trouble for Aus!!
I wouldn’t resort to that kind of stuff just yet. I would plan to go El Loco when the new ball is taken and also just look to bat once, so no Ryan Campbell cricket shots just yet…

How many wickets are the four Indian bowlrs taking?
Irrelevant, that's their problem. Bowling a part-timer to make up for the failings of the front-liners is fraught with danger and, as we saw in the last Test, cost Sehwag and India runs. Shoring-up one failing by almost ensuring another is dumb, and that's assuming Sehwag will bowl as well too.

Hussey getting the reverse out...The guy turns it on so quickly I wouldn't be surprised if his strike-rate ended up fairly healthy if indeed he is cutting loose now.

Ned: "I enjoy watching test cricket. The fact that much of your feedback lambastes this morning's action as boring is further evidence of the decline in popularity of test cricket. Dhoni is using a legitimate tactic, and I am fascinated to see how Australia will react. This is a lot more interesting than watching two teams score 600 odd each on a belter with no chance of a result. Well done Dhoni, and bugger off and watch some 2020 somewhere all you cricket ..."

Its amazing how this issue is so divisive. Interesting talking point none the less.

Caleb: "I just can't see how someone is supposed to hit the ball when it's all the way out there, although we may be No. 1, India may as well try to take it to us! I also can't see how the next generation of cricket lovers (my generation) would like to sit and watch this all day, if this is tactics give me a one day or twenty 20 match. The intrigue and battles of test cricket are not meant to be played 2 feet out side of off stump." - from cricinfo

I think this guy forgot that johnson and watson have been employing this same tactic all series...

The Indians are only playing four bowlers, and they have their reasons for it. Moreover, these are the four best bowlers available, and they're not mediocre by any means. They're just limited in ability, when bowling on flat pitches with weak fielding support. In this case, they need a fifth bowler, and without one, a batsman has to play as a bowler. Otherwise, the four main bowlers will get overbowled and blunt. Compare this with how many overs the Australians get out of Michael Clarke, despite five bowlers in their ranks, and how effective he's been. There's no reason why Sehwag should score a lot less if he bowls a lot more.

wat, Watson's been attacking the stumps. He bowled wide of off to Gambhir in the third test because it had worked before (see the first test where he poked at everything) but Gambhir was up to it.

Well, Sehwag doesn't have to bowl 40 - but using him to see if he can replicate the type of bowling Krejza did is smart. Sehwag flights the ball up much more than Harbhajan.

why are they batting slowly and conservatively? If aus want to win this they need to be far more aggressive and have a more positive approach like the Indians. This game is going straight for a draw.

well i guess what India have to weigh up is how important is sehwags bowling cuz it does seem his batting suffers when he bowls...

Good bowling by India right now. suffocating stuff

Is there any evidence of that or just one innings where he failed after bowling some overs?

They don't have another option. It's better to have a fresh approach with Sehwag bowling rather than a blunt one with frontline bowlers rolling down as many overs, but wicketless.
