SmackDown spoilers are very intriguing. The Hardy tweener turn above all. I think they've realised that Jeff is going to get cheered no matter what, so good on them for taking advantage of that and giving him something interesting to do. Can't wait to see where this goes. Although I am slightly disappointed that they've almost ruined one of the few straight-up babyfaces left on the roster, it might take away from any potential title win by Jeff.

I think the Hardy tweener turn could be quite good potentially, remember when they tried a similar thing a few years ago before he left the company last time round and iirc it worked quite well.

MVP being buried again is a cause for concern though, esspecially when it's at the hands of the Great Khali.

I just got my copy of Smackdown vs Raw 2009. I must say this is the best wrestling game I've played since Smackdown Here Comes The Pain. The graphics are absolutely stunning, the roster is fantastic and the amount of features in this game is unbelievable.

From Inferno Matches, Elimination Chambers, Hell in a Cell, TLC, Steel Cage, ECW Extreme Rules, Ladder, Royal Rumble, Battle Royals, Iron Man Matches, Submission Matches, there is everything you could possibly want.

To top it off the Road To Wrestlemania mode is absolutely awesome. I'm half way through Chris Jericho's Road To Wrestlemania and the storylines are really intruiging and play brilliantly in the game. With another five more Road To Wrestlemania's to choose from, that's a lot of storylines and a lot of hours of replay value right there.

Career mode is great as it allows you to work from the bottom all the way to the top. Create A Finisher is fantastic, I've already created The Canadian Destroyer and Create A Wrestler has a lot of depth this season.

All in all, it's probably the best wrestling game I've played and after the massive let down that TNA Impact was, this game deserves to be known as the king of wrestling games. One of the best wrestling games I've played in a long time. If you're on the fence about getting this game, I recommend that you buy it. You will not be disappointed.

Am very tempted, but my overall concern is that like the other Smackdown vs RAW games it'll start of great and then i'll get fed up of it after a month or so and then never revisit it.

Ugh, wish I hadn't read that mb. Already forked out money for Fable 2, Fifa, Madden, NBA 2K9 and Saints Row 2 in the past month. Might have to wait till Christmas for me. Sounds promising though.

It has a lot more longevity than the other past Smackdown vs Raw games. It's got a ton of features in it this year. Most promising is that season mode actually has 6 different scenarios to play as instead of just 1 or 2 and they all take quite a while to play. Career mode has a lot of depth as well. Plus the Create A Wrestler mode is so in depth that you could easily create lot of past legends and TNA guys.

Mmmm, like Duffer I may wait till xmas and pick it up around then, esspecially seeing as I can't think of anything much that I would wany anyway. Might see if I can persuade a mate to get a copy of it and then test it out around his house or something.

BTW Duffer, is Fable 2 any good? I've heard very mixed things.

Personally I loved it, really got myself immersed in it but I find the claim of "choose your own destiny/the destiny of the world" to be a bit overstated. There are only ever 2 or 3 maximum big decisions that truly change your game going forward so I think it does slightly fall flat if you're sold on that aspect of it. Also, money is really important in the game but some of the jobs are horrifically tedious (ie chopping wood, serving beers etc)

People who played Fable 1 though pretty much just said it's an enhanced version of that and were slightly underwhelmed, but as someone completely new to the game I thought it was great. 8.5/10 for me, worth a punt.

His band Fozzy played a gig at the KrazyHouse, a rock club I used to go to every Thursday & Saturday, and some Fridays. I missed the gig, but he was in there all night after it, by which time I arrived to inform him that he was awesome

Fact about Y2J's band Fozzy - they are what first got me interested in Motley Crue

Hmmm, like you I never played the first one, so have been quite interested in it...sounds interesting though, may have to put this down as a maybe for xmas as well. Also IGN who are usually quite reliable said that it was probs worth a go...so we'll see...

King of my World by Fozzy is a gun tune imo, shame the rest of what I've heard is pretty terrible.

Never heard any of their own stuff, loved their covers album, but it's all the sort of stuff that's right up my street ie 80s glam-metal and English Heavy metal

Great to hear. Planning on investing in it this weekend, looking forward to it greatly.

God damn, in the same boat as you in that I need this WWE game now even though I have recently bought SR2, F2, Bleach for the DS, and am going to be getting Mirror's Edge, Gears of War 2 and about three other games that were coming out soon, this season is seriously insane for games.

But yeah the jobs in Fable are ****, the easiest way to make money is to get a bit of scratch together and then buy properties like a mad man and hike the rates up to the max, friend of mine who does it earns something ******** like 25k every 5 minutes of game time.

Mike Adamle is done with WWE, at least for the short term. There is a good chance he won't be returning.

The word backstage is that both WWE and Adamle came to an agreement that he was just not cut out for the business, so he was taken off television. Many found it fitting that on what was probably his final night with the company, he screwed up his lines in true Adamle fashion
Hmm, quite dissapointed with this news tbh, though it was clear Adamle really struggled with his lines and various other aspects of the job, I thought he was still good value, and it'll be a shame imo if he doesn't return.

The global economic downturn is also taking it's toll on WWE. WWE looking to cut costs have released Chuck Palumbo and Paul London. Palumbo I can understand, but releasing a talent like Paul London is probably not a good move. London had a lot of potential and probably more so than some of their other bland talent.

London could be back at work on the independent circuit but he'll also make a great addition to TNA's X Division as he has competed there before. I hope he does make the journey over to TNA, he'll have a fair bit to contribute.

Well they weren't using London anyway so it's probably for the best he gets a payout and can go wrestle somewhere where he'll be appreciated.

Yeah AWTA, it is a shame that the E didn't make more of him, but like duffer says it'd be better for him to be somewhere he can actually get some ring time, hopefully we'll see him somewhere in the near future.

As for Palumbo...bit of a lol, the guy was so painfully not over at whatever he did, don't think many will be missing him.
