London is a talented performer, but he was never gonna be a bigger draw than when he was with Kendrick, and Kendrick is clearly the more talented of the two. Add to that London's tendency to annoy people backstage and disobey orders (although he had a point when it came to the Banned Moves List), and it's no surprise he's been let go.

Palumbo, though, I always thought would be around at least a little while longer - Vince loves big guys, and at 6ft 6in and 280lbs, big is what Chuck is. Still, he'll be back in two years under another failed gimmick, no doubt.

People still remember that Billy and Chuck angle. Shame that's what his career legacy will amount to.

Was surprised they didn't push his partnership with Sean O'Haire harder during the invasion storyline and beyond. They made quite a decent team really, and had they not been repeatedly buried by Taker and Kane at the time they would have been a nice credible addition to the tag team division.

Don't really remember that for some reason. Still think he's no loss, personality of a doorknob. I've always found him utterly uninspiring tbh.

During the invasion O'Haire seemed destined like he'd be a big name in the WWE in years to come, almost solely due to his look.

Just never happened.

News just in:

For several months there have been conflicting stories regarding Christian Cage's future in wrestling. One source will say that he is staying with TNA, another will say that he is returning to WWE.

The latest report from prowrestling.net states that Christian Cage is indeed expected to leave TNA and return to World Wrestling Entertainment once his contract expires.

According to multiple sources, Cage recently informed TNA President Dixie Carter as well as Jeff Jarrett that that he felt it was in his best interest to consider his options with WWE.

It's being said that last night's Turning Point pay-per-view or this week's set of Impact television tapings could be Cage's final appearances with TNA.

Most of Cage's friends believe he is heading back to WWE once his contract with TNA expires.

Unbelieavable, but it was on the cards for some time. Christian vs Edge at Wrestlemania 25 can still happen.

Would be chuffed to see him back, but him and Edge being up against each other would trump anything Triple H does so I guess it won't be happening.

Wow interesting news....would love to see that....

House Show last night was pretty fun, a weird experience to say the least....but really enjoyed it, got to see some good matches. The pops for Hardy, HHH and Taker were insane...haven't heard a crowd reaction quite like that at anything else I have ever been to....

Will post pics/vids later on..

Great to hear that you had a good time at the house show. Would be great if you or Barney posted some of the pictures or videos.

Who did Triple H wrestle at the house show? Any humorous, comedic moments? What about the likes of MVP, Khali and Shelton?

Right, here's a rundown of the house show myself and sledger went to, for the benefit of everyone else. Myself and mates had awesome seats, right at the front of the top tier of seating, as you'll see. Picture quality is sadly very poor for the most part, my camera isn't top quality.

Justin Roberts opens the show by welcoming us to the show, saying how good it is to be in London again and announcing the opening match. Fair bit of pyro goes off around the entrance ramp. Like so:

Opening match is The Brian Kendrick vs Carlito. Decent little match, some great heat garnered by Kendrick. The man knows how to work heel. One impressive spot where Carlito did a springboard backflip type thing and landed on his feet. Finish saw Kendrick hit The Kendrick, but Carlito get a foot on the ropes to stop the 3-count, followed by hitting the Backcracker soon after for the win.

Second match was The Great Khali vs Ryan Braddock. Poor match, although Braddock got a surprising amount of heat for a jobber - real story was that Khali was way over as a face, and I think most people were just amazed to see him in the flesh. The guy is ridiculously, stupidly massive. Khali wins with a Tree Chokeslam in about five minutes, most of which was procrastination by Braddock.

Third match was the Divas - Michelle McCool and Maria vs Maryse and Natalya. Match quality was poor, but I can't deny that it was good to see the Divas in person. Michelle was wearing almost nothing, it was awesome. Faces won when Michelle hit her (actually quite impressive) Wings of Love finisher, ripped off Christopher Daniels of course.

Next up we had a Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship. Now, I think with the show falling on the same night as an ECW taping, the lack of Miz and Morrison available meant they had to split up the Colón brothers - Carlito wrestled earlier, and they found a spot for Primo in this match; Primo Colón vs R-Truth vs Shelton Benjamin. Good match, suffered a bit at the end when R-Truth appeared to injure his shoulder. The finish was a little bit improvised. Shelton's "PayDirt" finisher looks awesome in real life, though. He pinned Primo for the win. R-Truth's entrance was good fun, he's pretty over with the crowds thanks to it.

Last match before the intermission was a cracker - straight off the SummerSlam card, Jeff Hardy vs MVP. Very good match, possibly the best of the night IMO. Finish saw Jeff win cleanly (obviously, given MVP's current situation) after reversing a Playmaker attempt into a Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb. MVP used the Ballin' Elbow at one point in the match, which got him some pretty nice heat. Both guys were insanely over, even at the first tick-tock of MVP's theme music the crowd were angry as hell. The guy is a born heel.

After the intermission, we were welcomed back by Kung Fu Naki vs Ezekiel Jackson. Basically an extended squash. Zeke is an impressive physical specimen, and his finisher looks like it hurts. Always a good sign, think the big man could be going places along with Kendrick.

Then came the real business of the night - Triple H vs Vladimir Kozlov, with the WWE Championship at stake. Very good match, the two work well together and it was a great, traditional, battle-of-the-big-men contest. Triple H's entrance was a sight to behold - equally impressive was the fact that he spent a good 10 minutes after his victory (by DQ, when Kozlov nailed him with a microphone - nice little spot, came out of nowhere) high-fiving fans and posing for photographs, then heating up the crowd for the main event. This is why he's in the position he's in. The guy has great matches night after night, the fans love him, and he gives as much back as he gets. My respect for the guy increased tenfold last night.

Finally, our Main Event was a Falls Count Anywhere Match between The Undertaker and Big Show. Was dead excited for this TBH, and it didn't disappoint. Some good back-and-forth action, lots of countered chairshots and even a shot with the steel steps from 'Taker at one point. 'Taker won with the newly-christened "Devil's Triangle" submission hold after Show hit the KO Punch. Crowd ate up 'Taker the whole time. His entrance is spine-tinglingly awesome in person, was delighted to see my favourite wrestler of all time up close.

All in all a fantastic evening, really good show and I commend the WWE for putting so much effort into a non-televised event. My only qualm was that besides R-Truth and Justin Roberts, no-one spoke on the mic all night. Just struck me as a little bizarre. Definitely going to try and go to the RAW taping in London in April - had two mates who were at the one in Manchester last night, it sounded awesome fun. Anyone who has me on Facebook will be able to see more photos soon enough - for now, I'm out.

What was the reaction to HHH like where you were sitting? When he was coming out the pop he got was huge, but there were loads of people sat near me cheering Kozlov which I thought was amusing. Was nice to see that HHH didn't go over clean as well.

Was all Triple H over here, although me and my mates were cheering Kozlov as well. I did hear some total smarks behind me chanting "Hardy sucks" during his match, maybe that was the same people.

Me and the guys tried to start a "let's go, Kendrick" chant, but it failed miserably. :(

There were loads of "let's go shelton" chants around to my right somewhere, but they got drowned out pretty quickly. There was major heat on HHH right behind me though, some guy kept shouting "GO HOME!" for pretty much the entire match. Props to HHH though, he spent a lot of time going around the crowd shaking hands etc.. after his match. I also thought it was amusing how once Taker's entrance was over loads of people just got up and left.

Though in hindsight that may not have been the worst idea in the world, the tube I needed to catch was delayed by about 10 mins and I had to rush back to Paddington to get the last train home.

We were fine getting home, even got a seat on the Tube on the way back to Waterloo. Had time for a McDonald's at Waterloo before getting the second-to-last train back to Southampton Central.

I heard the "let's go, Shelton" chant - I think I've just about managed to place where you were, if that was over to your right. It was to my right as well, but quite a bit further back in the top tier. Same place the "Hardy sucks" chant came from.

Were you surprised that Big Show got such a massive pop? I think it was mostly due to it being in the UK, you wouldn't hear him getting cheered in America these days. Great bit of heel work from him to get the crowd against him again, playing scared of 'Taker until 'Taker turned his back, then entering the ring only to hear the bell ring and see 'Taker turn around to start the match, then pointing at the ref and going "You tricked me!". Show is awesome.

I was shocked by the number of people leaving early as well, disappointed TBH. Why would you not stay for a) a Falls Count Anywhere Match, which are usually good, or b) a match between an eighteen-year veteran and a ten-year veteran, who've main evented PPVs dozens of times in the past? Weird, IMO.

Awesome stuff lads, WWE house shows are quality. Loved the pics too Barney!

Also, has anyone else gotten to playing SD v Raw 2009? I know mb liked it a lot but looking for other opinions on here too, it hasn't got the greatest of online reviews so tossing up whether to get it or Fallout 3 which is getting insanely good reviews everywhere.

EDIT: Oh, and the ME for Raw looks purely awesome. Can't wait to see it tonight.

I've got SvR09 and I would definitely recommend it. The gameplay is smoother and the collision detection is a lot better, the new tag team mode is very good fun, the Create-A-Finisher mode is brilliant and the Road To WrestleMania mode (which I've played through once so far, with CM Punk) seems to have a lot of depth. Probably the strongest SvR game in a good long while, IMO - far better than 2008's version. Worth a purchase, I'd say.

Yeah, I probably will buy it just a matter of when. Budgeting can be so painful at times.

Great to know you guys had an awesome time. Thanks for the photos Barney, they were great. Also good on you for getting Smackdown vs Raw 2009. Glad you're enjoying it. Have completed Jericho's Road To Wrestlemania myself and I'm half way through Triple H's.

Triple H's is quite good as you have two potential options and two different storylines depending on the path you take. I won't spoil anything but that's what's good about this years version of the game, there is a lot of depth and plenty of replay value.

Create A Finisher is awesome too, already have created The Canadian Destroyer and The Styles Clash

I was surprised that a few people got a big pop to be honest, Kendrick and Shelton got quite good ovations where I was sitting as well come to think of it.

And yeah everyone leaving at that stage was just weird, but it made me wonder if whilst booking the show they expected that kind of thing to happen....and maybe that HHH decided he would go on before the ME and do his entire get adoration from the crowd thing before pissing off...lol. But yeah...would have thought people would go to the show to see the ME stars....not to see them come out and then just walk out....

Will get round to posting some vids/pics later on once I sort my camera out..
