I don't actually think it's possible to cause a player to get out by saying something positive about them, you know...

Anyway, got a feeling Ponting will play well again here. Good signs in the last match, and I think he's had a pretty good series in general. Either way Australia really need the runs, only chance of winning this one is to bat all day tomorrow, then pull a good bowling performance from somewhere.

Ponting survives the Ishant Sharma over.

Interesting commentary. After one of LS's observations was implemented by Dhoni, AB says. "Wow, a leg spinner who can think".

Howardj to come online and tip Ponting for the innings of his life any minute.

Somehow I don't think he'll tell us Hauritz is the best finger spinner in the country today, though.

You wanna believe that anything anyone ever says has influence over the events several thousand km away, you be my guest. :p

No problem with the Zaheer/Hayden collision, Zaheer couldn't have known that Hayden was barrelling at him but by the same token, Haydos wasn't in the wrong in maintaining his line, either.

I use to think like that too, but people like SS have gone a long way in changing my views regarding this particular issue...:p

FFS Hayden, getting yourself run out on a pitch like this... 8-)

Ponting must be delirious - "I'm in early, and look its Ishant and Bhajji!!!"

Great effort today by Crazy however - good on him. Bizarre debut.

Whatever it takes!!!
India staring down the barrel here.......

Australia can easily run away witht he game if they score 550+ and it is very much on thecards given the form their batters are in..

Woah, calm down a bit. Australia are 1/43. India are still in front right now, and the absolute worst you'd say is that it's pretty even.

not really... pitch is still bit of a road and our guys don't flight the ball as much as Krejza and Aussies wont handle any of our spinners with the same sort of disrespect either.. All Australia ATM for me..

I would say, Australia are in a good position. If they can get that 550+ score, India will be on back foot.

lot rests on Ponting & Katich at this stage

You are so trying to reverse jinx India. :p

Personally, I'm not sure how much longer the Aussie batsmen can hold on if/when reverse swing starts to go crazy.

Yeah, India still in a very strong position here. And even if Aus get the runs, then it will more likely be a draw anyways, so nothing much to worry about from an Indian perspective.

Indians look good only when they bat aggressively...If Indians come out to bat to draw this test, Aussies will be on top for sure....and who knows.. Aussies might level the series

Pretty impressed with the kind of work the Indian players have put on the ball to keep the one side of the shiny, so it just a matter of time before it starts reversing, i think the Aussies can learn a thing or two from this, because the ball they have been using has generally been equally scuffed up on both the sides.
