Yeh checked out cricinfo cullen dropped,3 wkts in 2 games gone for a hatful of runs.
That means only 2 state sides are picking specialist spinners for their sides,NSW hauritz and casson, tassie doherty.Altho tassie could well drop doherty and play an exra batsmen and play butterworth at 8,their batting so far has stunk.
Is Butterworth worthy of his place in the side, i have hardly seen him do anything substantial in either List A games or FC games, a few years ago Ponting did say he has potential to play for Australia as an all-rounder in the future, but i don't think so he is even FC standard, and i haven't seen anything in him to prove otherwise.

As far Doherty is concerned he is just a decent OD bowler and a handy lower order bat, and he is only playing FC cricket because Jason Krezja is currently on a paid holiday in India.

Tasmanian batting is failing wouldn't be surpised if tasmania picked divin at 7 then butters 8(yes his numbers aren't great but they keep picking him) and have a 3 paced attack backed by butterworth, divin and marsh.Seems the trend at the moment not to pick spinners, wouldn't be surpised if tassie go that way.
Lockyear ok deighton and birt awful.Middle order better but not so good.

Last season he scored a triple century in grade cricket and, IIRC, got a pfeiffer in the same match. He's FC standard.

Has dan cullen been dropped for the redbacks next 4 dayer, read this if this is true its unbelievable.I guess 4 quicks then.
Why not cullen bailey if cullen not up to it.
Probably just as much because it's at Bellerive as for the fact that they're both crap.

Indeed. He did something similar (albeit only a double hundred) in a Second XI game as well.

He's even had some particularly awesome allround games at First Class level - most notably the Shield final that Tassie won. He's just a bit inconsistent but a lot of players are like that. He's not had a great last season and a bit but he's definitely First Class standard for mine.

Lambert's pretty much your best player this year so you're holding to him a high enough standard.

How odd does that WACA scorecard look at the moment

Still think they'll pick up bonus points, as none of the best 4 or 5 batters are out yet.

Liking the look of SA this season.

There's seems to be, from a distance, a real resolve on their part to pull themselves up by the bootstraps. Not saying that they'll win any silverware, but at least they're committed to improving on what has been some ordinary cricket in recent seasons (when considering the talent at their disposal).

Dan cullen made 12 th man in the one dayer,sa selectors losing confidence in cullen.Good to see they can pull the axe when needed when players are 2nd rate and not peerforming.
Lambert has been invaluable chipped in with wkts here wkts their, shown experience in the one dayers.Chipped in with 30's and 40's.
The precedence has been set when tassies batsmen have struggled which they have, they have in the past played an allrounder, apart from butterworth, their was benneworth, faulkner who batted at 8 sometimes and kremoeskothen.
With the tassie batting failing, the spinner not doing much and the pacemen tri doing well expect doherty to make way for butterworth.
That said i expect hauritz to be replaced by brakken,he has a better wkt taking ability than hauritz, and ****leey did better than hauritz.
NSW has to take 20 wkts and they didn't with 2 spinners vs sa.

Guys are you getting live feed of the Ford ranger cup games back in Australia, because here they haven't telecasted yesterday's game neither are they showing today's game between Blues and Bushrangers, and there is no live commentary of the Ford ranger cup on cricinfo either!!!

Broad brings up his hundred with three consecutive boundaries. Now all we need is to find someone to partner him up the top.

Carseldine wouldn't be such a bad option imo. But, I think when Love returns from injury Perren might partner Broad with Love @ 3.

Nick Kruger in any sort of form? Actually, more to the point, is ANYONE in QLD apart from Broad & Carseldine (and perhaps Perren) in any sort of form?
