So will Tottenham be releasing a DVD on their 2-1 win over Liverpool?
Hope so.

So pleased with the win tbh, Spurs have managed to piss off my mates who support Arsenal and Pool in the last 4-5 days, great stuff.

One of our most celebrated victories ever came against Exeter actually - 21 years ago but

Just looked it up on google and apparently "The most important match of Tranmeres history" happened against us.

Interesting that one of the people leaving messages say they're Dean Roberts son.

Remember him, he was ****ing hopeless.

Well it's debatable whether it's the most important, seems as we've played cup finals and stuff since then

But we had to win that match to stay in the league, and win it we did

You'd've been properly ****ed if you'd lost that, wouldn't you?

Still, Lincoln went down instead that year and they bounced back pretty quick.

Yeah, for sure, would have gone bust, that's why it gets called the most important. But by that logic if we ever got to the Champions League final (totally hypothetical FTR) then that still wouldn't be the most important game...

I'm not sure we actually would have gone down anyway. We played on the Friday night, as was the norm back then (still is, though obv it wouldn't be allowed now) so it was a "absolutely must win" but I think that, assuming all results stayed as they were, we might have actually stayed up anyway. Shall go check.

That was the first year of automatic promotion from the Conference

edit - a defeat would indeed have taken us down but a draw would have kept us up, Gary Williams (our scorer) would never tell you that though. I went to primary school with his daughter, the Headmaster used to remind us in assembly every day. I wouldn't mind, but he was a ****ing Liverpool fan (the headmaster that is)

Why is it that you remember teachers by the football teams they support?

I'll always remember my head at primary school was a Blackpool fan, of all places, and my Economics teacher at secondary was a Geordie.

I think I am already cursing myself in the memories of my classes. I'm not sure if questions like the following help...

14) Exeter City’s average attendance last season was 3,705. This year it has gone up by 26%. What is it this season?

I did like this one, though:

13) Howard owns £25,000 of shares in Halifax bank. The shares crash and lose 88% of their value. How much are the shares worth after the market crash?

Kid brother had a Wrexscum fan as a teacher when he was in primary school. The season we beat them 5-1 in their own place. Was so jealous.

That is one thing; I get very little banter with opposing sides. The prime source is fellow staff members - Cambridge, Oxford last year. Not much this. Hoping for a third-round Cup run and some media attention to milk how much better supporting a real club is.

Right now I just latch on to little clubs when they record the stunning upsets. Had an enjoyable time talking about Barnsley last year... this was a whiteboard page on compound area:

Did anybody just watch the finish to the East-Midlands between Derby and Forest?!

I still have absolutely have no ****ing idea what I just witnessed, but it was ****ing amazing,

So glad I stayed up until 5am to watch this ****.

Didn't think I'd live to see the day a side lost every single contested header in the match but continually played long-ball just because their ground passing was worse.
