*Official* English Football Season 2008-2009

Well then, you have ridiculously high standards. Celtic, he broke the Rangers stranglehold (they'd won 11 out of the last 12 Scottish titles before he went there), IIRC Villa came 16th the season before he arrived and look where they are now. Took Leicester firstly into the Premiership, and again he then established them as a top half of the table club. That classifies as doing a good job, presumably in anybody's book tbh, but maybe not.

He's improved every club he's been at a hell of a lot, and had he had the money that Mourinho's had, I'm sure he'd have taken them a lot further as well.

Yes, definitely won it once, definitely got to another final and lost as well (Spurs IIRC), may have won more but I can't remember too well tbh.

Ah must have mixed him up with someone else then about his record pre-Celtic. O'Leary's a crap manager and he got a new chairman pretty much as soon as he came into the job so meh really.

Well, if winning the Carling Cup is the standard, I would think Ramos or McClown should be the next Man U boss...............

Although winning the Carling cup with an underfinanced team that was mid-table in division 1 when you took over>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> what Ramos or McClown did.

Newspapers are reporting that Spurs are to release a commemerative DVD of the 4 - 4 draw with Arsenal.

Let me get this straight you are going to release a DVD of a game in which you got a lucky draw, were comprehensively outplayed and are still bottom of the league afterwards

Thought it was a joke when I first read it but no:

£9.99? They must be having a laugh?

Maybe it is to pay for their new 60,000 seater stadium

They clearly have a pragmatist in the commercial department who recognises that that will probably be the highlight of their season and that they had better cash in on this no doubt very temporary wave of euphoria

Surprised there isn't a DVD of their 2-0 win over Bolton

Looks like Giovanni dos Santos reads aussie's posts:

Giovanni dos Santos said:
"It is a dream for me to come to a big club like Spurs. I've come here to further explore my qualities and give my all for my new team. As a young player I have come to a club where I feel there are many opportunities for me."

Thought Hull were in for a pasting but they've levelled it up...Whites level with the MK Dongs, according to Sky Sports we've owned them so far...our Devonish contingent will be happy so far, as is myself, as Exeter lead Chester City of Wales by one goal to nil...

I see Stoke are leading the Arse, they seem to be struggling against all the minnows this season, Stoke, Hull, Tottenham

Good move finished off by Carrick by the sounds of it, Arsenal behind as well, Pinnocchio saying they don't look like getting back into it either. Shame Keano doesn't look like he'll be helping us out.

Let's get to the end of the game before we get excited.
