Clarke coming in at the tail end of a day's play isn't that good a thing either, hope Hussey can keep him off the strike for the last over of the day....

From cricinfo:

"An inspired change from Dhoni."

What else was he going to do? Bowl Ishant and Zaheer for 20 overs straight? Bowl Mishra from both ends? I'm well behind the Dhoni>>>Kumble as captain argument, but sometimes people go out of their way to make him look better than he is.

India should have been in a commanding position by now - good bowling display but the field settings have been rather disappointing. The Aussies should look to survive here and capitalize on a hopefully more favorable track at Nagpur. No shot at victory at all. On another note, Sehwag gives us a solid second spin option to partner Mishra or Chawla in the long run if Bhajji happens to lose form.

Hayden was all at sea against Sehwag. Beaten multiple times.
Yeah, all in 1 over.

Hayden was taking a step back, which is fair enough, but his backlift meant his bat had to carry a long way to block out the little variations in the spin.

If he misses out, Gambhir's replacement for Nagpur? I'll throw a few names out there: Chopra, Badrinath, Jaffer. Thoughts?

Seems like Sehwag is having some good success with the ball. Wonder if Harbhajan would've enjoyed this pitch if he was fit... :(

I wasn't watching, but what happened to Kumble for the injury? Is he likely to return any time during this game or is India down to 3 specialists basically?

Which means he didn't look destined for a 100

Well he doesn't seem to do that too often, does he??
I think he does, it's just we seem to concentrate on when goes off on his old man tangents rather than when he's talking about the finer aspects of the game.
