Mixed week - lost in FC chasing 170, which was annoying, but have triumphantly won my first Div III OD match, and that's definitely the way round I would've wanted it. Going to bin FC, I think; too boring to watch, and too difficult to stop your captain being a complete moron. Might cause some morale problems, but the PFL will be worth more.

Lost my opening match, against Freaky's NorfolkENchance, by SEVEN SODDING RUNS, about 10 minutes before stumps too.

Ouch. Also, how many teams are there called variations on "Norfolk En Chance"? It's got to be in the low hundreds.

Lost my One Dayer by 1 wicket. Opposition had three players with over 150k battrick rating and two of those were bowlers. Demolished my top order leaving me about 40-7 before Bond and Batty and the infamous Connells batting depth put on a hundy partnership.

Once I got through Cleaver, their 150k opener, their batting collapsed from 173-4 to 175-9. Just couldn't take that last wicket.

Also made the mistake of not replacing Cooper, who I'd sold with a batsman. In came Skalding who's a #9 at best. Could have made all the difference.

Buckley's due to pop soon in both primaries, which'll complete his training -- he's only 21yo, so will stick as a 5th bowler all-rounder for a long long time.

Isaacs is just a YP who I'm training to Respectable then selling. Hopefully it'll happen next week.
