Interesting even with a three days of FC matches we still lose 60k a week. Really need to try and maintain a top position in both forms this season or we could be losing money again this season. Wages aren't even that much over the top.

Should be able to break even on any level of wages under 500k as long as you maintain relatively high morale, have a decent cup run and make your FC home games last three days. Cup is probably the most important thing; if you get knocked out early you're basically forfeiting 1m+ in revenue.

So, so pleased. Smart struggled a bit to take wickets last season, so hopefully he comes good. Can't wait until my trainees are ready aswell. :)
I had a similar match but lost. Was all over in a day or so.

Saggers Mob 96
Perth Rockets 141
Saggers Mob 100
Perth Rockets 2/56

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
I drew my match rather luckily. Cbf doing it properly but a quick add up put us about 10 runs ahead when the game finished.

The plan was the basically throw FC & Cup focus on the OD league. Pretty much GFI every match like I did last season (only reason I came 5th and didn't demote).

Got D2 side in the this round of cup, but they have very few players above exceptional. Scouted them last season as they have some decent talent but don't train past U19 standard.

Will GFI the first OD game and see how first fairs by Sunday. If it is decent will go GFI, if a couple players are struggling will PAN. If we struggling across the board will just play 2nd XI.

Remember last season even GFI every match we still had a lot of fitness not used for the players not trained. Should have enough to give the cup a decent run, if we get past this round.

End of Over 50: 312-0, runrate=6.24
Reeks 10-0-72-0
Kanelo* 136 (143 balls)
Harris 168 (159 balls)

Decent total, however, due to me not setting orders, I've got 2 worthless bowlers in the attack, not that I'll lose because of it though.

End of Over 24: 122-2, runrate=5.08, reqrunrate=7.35 (312-0)
Bosnich 7-0-30-0
Whitfield* 9 (10 balls)
Vernon 43 (40 balls)
Last Wicket: Long Run Out 52 (FOW: 103/2)

Decent start, good effort for Ali to get 100 on his club debut when no one else reached 50.

Ecstatic with that. Hamlin is a star, deadset. Very nice to see Greene take some key poles aswell. Fantastic start to the season and so different from our last.

Haha, ffs I'm going to lose, just to prove how **** my bowling attack is. I mean sure, I've got 2 worthless bowlers, but how 3 remarkables cannot take more than 4 wickets between them in Div V is beyond me.

Lost my opening match, against Freaky's NorfolkENchance, by SEVEN SODDING RUNS, about 10 minutes before stumps too.

The last 40 minutes, where my tail ground things out at less than a run an over, was excruciating.

Almost a repeat of last season's opening match, against Vulgar Boatmen, where I ended up losing by something like 18 runs in similar circumstances.
