Have to say that banging the ball in every delivery by B.lee has to be the stupidest ploy on this sort of pitch when the ball is barely getting to waist high. Yes so both batsmen arent the greatest against short pitch bowling, but you arent going to trouble them by hitting them just below the waist.

Looks like Ponting's playing for something to happen. I hope it will be the Indian declaration.

Well, listen to the commentary by him and it seems that boundaries are the illegitimate offpsrings of wayward Australian bowling with a docile pitch.
Mark Nicholas is a lot of things but to accuse him of under selling when commentating is laughable.

Nah, he mentioned it was a flat deck a couple of times during a 30 minute commentary stint. And it is a flat track, don't see where this supposed bias is coming from seeing as though he spent most of the time yesterday slurping anything that Sachin,Ganguly,Gambhir and Dravid did.

and what m i exactly baiting for? .... am i getting a sack of gold?

i don't bait unless I am getting some tangible benefits in real world

this is just a friendly banter going on .... it's not my problem if you think thats a bait, it's probably a poor thinking on your part .... before trying to give me any warning, make sure first what you are talking about
how do you know he didn't think its a friendly banter?
Moderator warnings are not just another thing for you to have a debate over. If you don't take them on board, you'll be banned, and you won't be able to argue that - it'll just happen. There's really no point trying to argue the point in this instance; it's not a matter of opinion.

That's where you're wrong. His opinion on whether it is a bait is paramount as he is a moderator. If he thinks you're baiting, you won't have any posting rights - even if he's wrong (which he most certainly isn't AFAIC). This is something that you really need to get your head around.

*stifles yawn* hopefully the last 2 pitches in this series offer a little more for the bowlers. I can't see this match going anywhere but for another draw.

It's the second day. A lot of times in the subcontinent, the game seems heading for a draw, and then all of a sudden the pitch just starts throwing up wickets left and right.

I'm hoping this is the case here (though obviously at this ground there have been plenty of high scoring draws as well).

Mmmm, was just reading about the number of high-scoring draws at the ground, which is why I'm rather subdued about it all.

Damn what's with these flat pitches, can't they even make one with something in it for bowlers. Makes for a rather dull first two innings.

Last four matches for India have been W-D-D-W. In those matches, India scored 338, 516, 424, and 469. So I don't think it necessarily means this will be a draw. A lot of it depends on the Aussie innings, and how it's playing. Interestingly, in both wins (both against England), India have batted second both times. So the second innings is also fantastic for batting generally, so we'll see how they do.

Of course, in one of the wins, England collapsed for 181 in their second innings on a still-flat pitch, and I highly doubt Aussies will do the same....

Well in the first test it was very up and down from Day 2 onwards and was very rough which got it reversing after 15-20 overs. But you're right about this one, looks very flat. Hoping some better spinners can make it turn for them.

The track on which Australia made 430 was also similar one. Didnt see much complaints from Aussies here though. Although I agree it being flat, the verdict's still out for how it will behave in the 4th and 5th days.

That one had a lot more variable bounce pretty much from day 1-2.
