Good to see Klinger in the runs. Was impressed with what I saw of Drew today, even though he went for a few. Symonds looks out of sorts which isn't encouraging, had no idea his domestic one-day stats were so poor, still rate him as the best one-day batsmen in the world though.

EDIT: Tait and Rofe did a couple of circuits of the ground and sat behind me on the second. Man, they can talk crap! Basically had a debate over who pulled the most chicks, Dhoni or Harbhajan. Dhoni 'goes alright', apparently.
Honestly, it's the best part of cricket. When you're mates are batting well and making runs, and you sit there and talk crap with ten mates for hours on end, talking about ridiculous theorems, cricket stories, chopping, Saturday nights, etc. Why I love playing 100 over cricket.

Not disputing it in any way.

I think Symonds is in for big trouble if he can't get back into some sort of form at the domestic level soon, there are no doubts regarding his talent but if he won't score in domestic circuit and at the same time likes of Watson (in test) and David Hussey (in Odi's) start doing well in his absence, he would find it really hard to break back into the Australian side, i am quite surprised to see Symmo doing badly atm, i thought he would be pretty fired up due to that "gone fishing" episode and would score heavily in order to send a message to the selectors and all his critics, but i guess this bad patch of form has hit him at the worst possible time.

Symonds bowling well. I don't think the FC track really allowed any batsmen to show what form they are in. One OD game doesn't say much either. Too early to say he is out of form IMO.

Nah, poor domestic form has never stopped him before. There's no way he won't make it back into the ODI side the second he's back on good terms with everyone. With Tests it's a bit trickier but with so many Tests coming up in the next year I refuse to believe that no one in our middle order won't be dropped or injured sooner rather then later.

BTW, great to Hilfy starting the season on such a high note , after having a rather poor last season by his standards, this season he has made a pretty strong comeback which is great to see, i hope he carries this sort of form for the rest of the season, having said that Geeves too has been really impressive so far this season, so the Tassies seem to have a very potent new-ball partnership going in form of Hilfenhaus and Geeves atm.

How did Tait bowl today ?
Better. Still feeling his way, though. Was right down on zip yesterday. Looks under-done, not a surprise, but was solid today. The Vics found it far harder to bat. In the convo behind me I heard him say he'd lost 3kg purely from stopping drinking fruit juice so I'm guessing he's fit at least..... haha

I mean he would still would have to score some runs and show some form in order to make a comeback into the Aussie, especially if Watto and Hussey make the most of his absence, but if his comeback is only down to Symmo going upto Hilditch, Punter and Clarke and giving them a hug and saying sorry, then that's a different matter all together.

Will be quietly rooting for Callum Ferguson today - I have high hopes for this chap.
:naugh.......

Nah.

He couldn't have a better opportunity. Flat deck, beautiful day in Adelaide, won't be much swing around.

Didn't get your wish boys, run-out for 21. SA 5/199 after 92 overs, man they're scoring slowly...... Tom Plant 48 off 185 balls. Klinger standing tall, 74* (215).

SA moving along at a Boycott-esque pace of 2.15 RPO.

Gah, so annoying when people get run out in 4/5 day cricket. Hoping the pitch is a little less of a road come January!

Great to see Klinger scoring runs in the longer form of the game. There really is no reason why he shouldn't.

Dire season ahead for NSW, one seems.
Hopefully Phil Jaques, after the India tour, can form with Hughes one of the best opening parterships of all time.

Does anyone know what Kenny Skewes is up to this season? Is he just playing grade in Adelaide? I thought he was a top young bat but I see he's been de-listed.

Had an ordinary season last year for Woodville despite playing in a premiership winning side and, I believe, is injured right now.
