No way. Thought he got poked in the eye if anything.Did Cameron White really cry when he took his wicket?
Ah, thanks. Relying on cricinfo. No way. Thought he got poked in the eye if anything.
This test proved we are a bowler short. White was no better than Clarke and doesn't deserve to keep his spot.
Yea hope Kumble pulls out by the time the next game starts. I'd have Mishra in there (300+ domestic wickets @ 25 is a fantastic record) as I still have doubts over the fitness of Munaf to bowl long spells. Dhoni to captain with Sehwag his deputy - Ganguly and Sehwag will have to bowl more as well.Kumble may be finished. Mishra or Munaf in Mohali?
This is the first time I saw Haddin thoroughly over a prolonged period. He was very impressive indeed as a wicket keeper. His foot work standing up was fantastic and he looks a very fine wicket keeper indeed. It was a tough wicket to keep wickets at. He always was in the right place and had his gloves in the right line and height as the ball should have been expected to go to. Thats the hal mark of a good wicket keeper.Nice record for haddin.....
Ishant easily imo. As good as Johnson was, and Khan was excellent too. Sharma is just there all the time and always threatening. Love the guy tbh.So overall who would people pick for the bowler of the match? Johnson or Ishant or Zaheer?
The was some quite hilarious appealing and so on on both sides. Johnson, Lee and Watson for Aus and Harhajan and Khan for India. And Sharma's send-off of Watson was quite over-dramatic. And yet it was all good-natured which was good to see. This is the first time I saw Haddin thoroughly over a prolonged period. He was very impressive indeed as a wicket keeper. I am very keen to see more of him.
I was disappointed at some of his appealing though. Evens ome of the bowlers (Mitchell particularly) appealed for absolutely ridiculous decisions. Once for a ball that moved considerably in the air and hit the batsman (I think Gambhir) at least 5-6 inches outside the leg stump (point of contact mind you) and on the full. He appealed ferociously and for long. It was something for which the umpire would have been justified in giving him a piece of his mind.
thank god u r not an indian selectorthe team for the Ist-two tests has been announced but if i had it my way, i would field a line up like the one below at Mohali
- Chopra
- Sehwag
- Gambhir
- Tendulkar
- Laxman / Dravid / Ganguly
- Rohit
- Dhoni
- the best wicket-taking spinner available from the likes of Mishra, Nanda, Chawla, etc
- Zak
- Ishant
- Munaf
If the wicket is flat then play 5th bowler in form of the 2nd spinner
