Well, 1-5 are out of the question at this point so it's either 6, 7 or out of the team from my perspective. I'd much rather have Symonds at 6, hence why I said 7. It's not ideal but there isn't much else for him if Symonds is to be picked.

Not to rain on the Watson orgy, but maybe people should wait to see if he can actually play at this level? Maybe I'm out of line but at least let him score a fifty in Tests before dislodging guys who are averaging 60+ on form....

Post IPL i would agree with this, but not anymore. Since Watson has proven to me that he has evolved from this robotic player who was solid againts pace but weak againts that had limited shots, that if faced with circumstances i.e the current test match, didn't have a plan B to his batting.

Numbers 7 or 6 clearly is not is best position yea, but for now i don't see it being a problem for him in the test side.
