Styris needs to retire from all cricket. He can't bat anymore, is occasionally good with the ball mind you who do we replace him with?

O-rammmmm. Geez he is carrying our side atm.

To be fair, Styris's greatest benefit is how he can throw down a few, but so can Ryder, How and Taylor. Bring in Fulton IMO.

Yeh I love Fults. Hes did well recently.

Is anyone else excited that John Bracewell's coaching of NZ is coming closer and closer to an end?

He is a little bit eccentric but overall a great guy. I see no reason why he shouldn't become a world class opener.
Indeed. He's got the talent, he just needs to learn how to control his natural exuberance.

Not to say he should lose that, as his personality is part of what makes him the player he is; he just needs to learn how to control himself and he could become one of our great batsmen.

What date exactly does Bracers retire?

I will endeavour to schedule a shindig for that evening, to which all and sundry are invited.
No doubt you will be booking my airfares and asking my boss for the time off to come to Wellington. Wouldn't mind going back there itbt.

I think thats a little harsh on Styris - just over a year ago he was our best player at the World Cup, and was also one of our better performers in South Africa for the Twenty20 championships. Okay he mightn't have had a great run with the bat in the last few days but nor has Jamie How or Daniel Flynn - and when neither of them can bowl, at least Styris has a second element to his game.

It'll certainly be the end of an error.
Pun of the week.

Speaking of which, when are you turning out for our indoor cricket team? I'm reduced to fortnightly matches at the moment due to my creaky old back, but will ensure I play the week when you are...
Well I'm in my exam crap at the moment and I head back north straight after in November. Next year I should be all for it though, I'll probably be back around February.

He's a great back up player but he's just not a top player in my books. I admire the bloke but still wouldn't have him in my starting XI.
For tests this is a fair assessment. However his skill level and game in general seems very suited for OD cricket. Perfect replacement for Styris IMO.

Reckon we have better players though, I mean he would be the best replacement of Styris. But is what the team needs a replacement of Piggo?
