It's alright, anything under even money for two batsmen of similar quality is an ok bet to lay. I'd just be more concerned about Smith coming in at around 7.

I can see what you were saying about Hopes opening, but it does seem a bit mad with Moller in the team too who, iirc, has been promising as opener. You've got two guys out of position then which doesn't seem to be giving yourselves the best chance.

Yeah you are right. What I said yesterday was just what I think the QLD selectors were possibly thinking.
Howard DJ is right.. Opening is a specialist position, and although Hopes can get away with it in OD, I don't think he'll have as much success up there compared with at say 5 or 6.

Useful debut for Crawford so far. He wasn't even in the 12 man squad until an hour or so before the game and I'd actually never even heard of the bloke, and he has 3/12.
