We've won the league title. The final is for a trophy. A bit like European football awards their titles for leagues and then have "super cup" matches in the offseason.
Many players refuse to accept this and often consider the final as the finest prize though, so we'll have to go for the double.

Yeah, tried to find an American analogy but realised there was none.
Eight players probably safe (me, Dauth, Gray, Luff, Kears, West, Bennett, Kennett). Little uncertain on the 6 & 7 and the final bowler, as you say you've lost the plot somewhat and it'd be useful to have someone who can keep an end down and also bat a bit.

If you have suitable replacement in mind (not Clapo I hope ), then I'd leave myself out if I were captain. I would've had somewhat of a decent game if some people held on to their catches, but they didn't and I didn't, so probably need to go on without me, even if it means missing out on the chance to get 100 wickets
