Shame that both Newcastle and Spurs couldn't have lost tonight, but got to laugh at Newcastle for another defeat at home with a strong team out, only got an attendance of 19,000 odd, which for a club like that is terrible.

Norwood's on Fire
19,000, a sign of things to come. Have ranted about this on CW before, they got about 15,000 at home to us in the league in 91-92 (we won 3-2 btw)

BARNES OUT
Also, can we please now **** Michael Ball off? He's got to be one of the worst starting left-backs in the Prem. Absolutely woeful display and I'm glad he's the one who lost us the game in the shootout.

Can't help but laugh though. So many Prem teams out already, Villa going down to QPR as well.

Craig in up-to-date shocker :p
TBF I can only get on line in the afternoon.

Now that is aside, why has Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic who they bought at the start of the year for £9m has onbly made his first team debut? If you pay that much for the **** I would be playing him a fair bit.

Newcastle now in talks with Terry Venables with a view to appointing him as manager, pretty awful idea imo, stupid stupid club.

Englishman
Steve McClaren probably.
Let's not forget El Twatt was Dutch Steve's no.2.

Venebles is made of teflon I reckon; no matter how dire he is none of the crap seems to stick & people only remember Euro 96 (semis in a tournament we hosted, BFD) & that one FA Cup he won at the Spurts.

He wouldn't get in ahead of the greatest striker the world has ever seen, Chrissy Greenacre...
Agree with this.

O'Connor and Stallard battling it out for iconic striker status this season.

Stallard's been banging them in and i remember hearing of him when he at Derby in the mid 90s, Jason Lee is...well Jason Lee but is old and crap and hairless and Aaron O'Connor's the high work rate, bit less skill but you don't mind because he gives his all sort of player, even if he did lie and tell us he was a free agent.

How have Chelsea been able to sign Miniero even though the transfer window is closed?. Is this another case of the big 4 bullying the system, or is this official?.
