Errr, that's no defence. If the players are easily identifiable by blatant clues, that's enough for a lawyer to go on.Pretty sure I never named any names, if people want to put two and two together good luck to them.
Yeah, otherwise journalists could do the same thing.Errr, that's no defence. If the players are easily identifiable by blatant clues, that's enough for a lawyer to go on.
Yep, exactly. It's still defamation if it's reasonable for the reader to conclude that you implied that player.Errr, that's no defence. If the players are easily identifiable by blatant clues, that's enough for a lawyer to go on.
This'll be interesting. Hunt, Boyd & Thaiday are MUCH more high-profile than Te Reo & Lacey from last season. Wonder what'll happen to them if they are sacked? What will Saint Waayne the Sanctimonious of Suncopr do now? He's been only to happy to punt non-entities for breaches of the club's code of conduct (not just breaches of the law) in the past. Will he have the stones to stand these fellas down leading up to a knock out final v the competition's hot pots?
Apparently there wre other allegations concering poor behaviour at pubs on Saturday, including queue jumping for cabs outside pubs when one or two players could barely walk they were that smashed.
Be interested to hear HJ's take on this - as a long time John Howard supporter, I know he hates queue jumpers......
Nothing has been proved or anything, obviously Boyd is already leaving but I can assure you that IF they are guilty then they will be sacked. This'll be interesting. After whats been discussed we probably shouldnt be throwing around names. If you read on other forums etc... You can get an idea of who it might be.
Obviously different police to the ones who threw Bird in the wagon that night after Origin, or maybe the same ones.Yeah, think they're handling this the correct way.
Glad all are on board, as I got my tickets this morning.
