4-1.

My dad says Setanta are rerunning the game at 11:25 or something and that it's viewable without subscription - anyone know for sure?

No, I meant the last time we went over there we tried something like 3-5-1-1 & it was an abortion, frankly. Our players happier with the standard 4-4-2 for mine.
My post wasn't in response to yours tbh, just happened to be below it & commenting on the line-up. But yeah, last trip to Croatia was a total disaster. **** me I'm shocked at today's result. If only Sven had played Walcott in the World Cup we might have won it

Good performance this, very good result indeed, great to see Walcott not only being picked but netting a hat-trick, first time I've really enjoyed watching england since 2006.

I went down the pub, even though i have Setanta.

Walcott, shocking early doors, nets a hattrick. Rooney scores a goal that frankly he should be taken out and shot if he'd missed, assist was bloody easy, did nothing else in the game. Lampard unlucky not to have his goal count given that it was Heskey who raised an arm and that Simunic went down very easily because of it. Red card, mhmm iffy about, wasn't intentional but i think the Ref reacted because of the way Cole collapsed. Croatian goal, studs to Terry's face in the build up, tad unlucky. Walcott took all his chances, fairplay.

Saw it on News at Ten. Looked pretty ordinary to me. Anyone who leads with their arm like that is asking for trouble. &, to be fair to Cole, he was actually bleeding when he was strechered off so it's not like he was putting it on. Ended his game too.

Yeah definitely Cole was in a bad state, was just saying it was unlucky that was the end result as Kovac didn't go into that tackle intending that to be the end result.
Simunic's yellow against Walcott though was far more deserving of a red for mine. Cynical play to turn your back and block a certain run through on the break, shook Walcott up a fair bit too.

England's best performance since Argentina 05. Never want to hear any Rooney bashing on this site again.

Brilliant atmosphere at the pub round here, but i don't want to make that a habit. I believe my pops pays £42 per month for Sky and £139.50 per year for a TV licence. Now were expected to shell out even more to watch a handfull of games which should be free to view. Bull....

Theo Walcott, ha my my still can't believe what he has done & to think i was a bit mad at first when i saw Beckham was in the starting XI. Probably the END of Beckham for ENG as well, once ENG play like that all the time his dead-ball skills won't be needed anymore.

Lampard looked like his Chelsea self for once, him & Gerrard position should be rotated based on form.

James looked a bit iffy, i really hope Foster recovers quickly at United & steps up to become #1 by SA 2010.

..And Emile Ivanhoe Heskey, ha what a bloke the real unsung hero & looking back of most of England top performances in this frustating 2000s era:

4-1 Croatia (a)
3-0 Russia (h)
5-1 Germany (a)
3-0 Denmark (n)
3-2 Argentina (n)

Heskey has been involved in all but the Argentina game and has i mentioned before he may not be a goal-scoring threat, but the the physical presence he gives in leading that line would give any defense in the world trouble. Must start now.

Capello stern face when Walcott scored his second goal was brilliant, this is the manger we need no doubt. Come on ENGLANDDDDDDDDDDDD

yeah, how dare we ever moan about an underperforming player, and how dare we ever complain if he every plays poorly again.

Nothing wrong with complaining if he plays poorly, but clearly an unfair lack of patience towards him has been displayed on this site & well around the country.

Was ****ing awful in the game today frankly. A through ball and a goal Stephen Hawking could've done is hardly the stuff of excellence. Only other time i noticed him was giving away a free kick on the edge of the England box, what the hell was he doing there?!

Yeah AWTA, also keen to point out that he only scored once England were already 2-0 up, not often you see him score when England are really under the cosh. But that is a somewhat anal critique of him.

Hmmm, scoring a goal and setting up another will normally do for me, as a forward, but I guess I'm not fussy.

He played infinitely better then he has been doing for us, and there's little other option. He worked in the system they played, not sure Owen would of done, TBH.

Rooney, Walcott & Heskey are worth continuing with on this performance anyway. I also liked Downing, Defoe and Bentley not taking any part, now they're all shocking england players.....

Unfair lack of patience when a guy does sod all for 4 years?

Perhaps he's trying to break Beckham's run of doing sod all for even longer.
