It's early doors, but anyone in London? Wondering what the weather's like as I heard today's game may be reduced by rain

Sounds like we won't get 100 overs but might see a DL. Mind you, we're yet to see 100 overs anyway due to England's awesome bowling (Y)

God I hope this either relents in time for a decent-ish (ie, 35 or more) length game or just washes the thing out completely.

Well they have only whitewashed a team once in an Odi series through their cricketing history, and that team was Zimbabwe, i cna't exactly remember the year though
2001/02. Five-match whitewash, Zimbabwe were highly disappointing with what was still a decent side, especially the likes of Wishart and Carlisle.

Also managed to win three out of the four scheduled games which survived the weather in 1999/2000.

Thanks Rich, well Proteas won't mind this game being washed-off, atleast the threat of getting whitewashed which is looming over them would get over.

Game getting ready to start in half an hour, 39 overs a side. Still a decent length of game to be considered a proper one-day game. England have an unchanged side and the toss is about to take place.

A 5-0 whitewash and Eng could be no.2 in the charts! What a turnaround that'd be!
Think that would flatter England's inconsistent ODI performances in recent times. Can't fault them in this series alone so far, but we need to produce performances like this on a much more conisistent basis for us to be considered the second best ODI team in the world.

England have won the toss and will bowl. SA have made two changes, Philander in for Albie Morkel, and Nel in for Ntini.

Return to type from our bowlers; SA 62/0 off 8.4 currently. Amla just cracked three fours in four balls off Harmy. Bowling way too wide.

Let's see how New England do under pressure

EDIT: Four 4s in six balls now. 66/0 off 9 overs.

 Ha, utterly twatty run out to end what was (so Atherton informs us) SA's best partnership of the series so far. Amla out by at least a yard.
