The world of one day cricket is starting to make sense again. Harmison got belted and Gibbs scored more than Prior. Normal surface slowly but surely resuming. :p

Slightly surprised to see Shah at 3 - I thought there might be a promotion for Flintoff or Pietersen.

Can see Wright playing a vital role if it comes down to 30 off three, say.

Yep back to our usual and expected top order performance. Slow scoring and early wickets - can't expect the opposition to bowl absolute crud every game.

Too many shots going straight to fielders atm. Required rate over 8 now.

Edit: I think you saw it before I did kk.

Not sure what SA expect from Philander. He isnt much of a bat and is a substandard medium pacer.

Medium pacers need accuracy or variation and he possesses little of either.

He is also smaller than he looks.

On the plus side I dont mind his action. :)

He possesses great variation in terms of pace, can see the odd batsman having terrible problems with him as a result. Don't believe it's enough to warrant his selection over Albie though.

Given Smith seemed to think so highly of Albie that he played him injured, I doubt many people will be arguing with you there - not least the South African selection group on tour.

We could give always them the benefit of the doubt and assume Albie's injury has regressed I guess.
