Apparently Kennedy dislocated his shoulder at a house show and might be out of action untill after SS. Should give him a nice rest and set him up so he can go full on in a new feud later.

Yeah Edge is heel. One of the best we've ever seen to be honest, he's probably the best thing about the WWE at the moment.
Edge, in his Rated-R Superstar persona, surely has to be one of the best heels in wrestling history. The guy's performances this year have been head and shoulders above virtually everything seen in WWE since the Attitude Era, and I cannot wait to see how he's going to perform in his first-ever Hell In A Cell match.

Incidentally, am I the only one who's really worried that Edge is gonna do something really stupid during this HIAC, and put his career on the line just for the sake of one spot? The guy has destroyed himself in the past in far less big-name matches, and this one is arguably one of the biggest of his career. If he tries something huge, it might be remembered for years, but if the cost is his career, it's not worth it.

Nah, WWE has been watered down so much I'm sure Vince would have to OK any and every spot in a match as dangerous as this. There will be some sick spots but I can't see anything that dangerous being given the green light for a guy who's as valuable to them as Edge is.

That being said, did anyone else notice on SD last week, when he jumped off the ladder and landed, he seemed to hurt his leg? He sort of instantly clutched at his knee, and then struggled to stand up. Want to know if it was just me, or someone else noticed it.

I heard about it, apparently he was injured for the dark match afterwards too.

Yeah, hence him being replaced with Vladimir Kozlov for the majority of it.

As already said by Duffer, Edge is of such great value to the E at the moment I doubt they would allow any really crazy spots because they cannot afford to lose him for any great period of time, not if they can prevent it anyway. Bet it's still a good match though, haven't looked forward to a match like this for a long while.

Yeah, I guess you're both right about Vince not wanting to risk Edge. Even if there's no "chokeslam off the cell through four stacked tables to the floor" spot, you can guarantee it'll be awesome. Can't wait for it myself, either.

Haha how awesome would that be? Bit of a shame if there isn't some crazy spot really, as Edge is one of the few guys on the roster who would potentially go through with something like this, but then again, it would be even more of a shame if he did and then got seriously injured and never came back.

Always thought that a good WM match would be Kane (masked, heel) vs the Hardyz (faces) in a handicap HIAC (with kane going over after chokeslamming Jeff through the cell roof)...would have some awesome spots in it...just a shame that it'll never happen

Haha, Jeff would definitely do that. I'm convinced the guy feels literally no pain. Although, yeah, it'll definitely never happen.

There's bound to be at least something in this HIAC that we've not seen before - the TLC match between the two had two or three things (chokeslam on Ryder through the ladder at ringside, Last Ride through two tables - plus we had 'Taker getting the old Bubba Ray Dudley/Matt Hardy spot from TLC II, off the ladder in the ring through four tables to the floor), and both guys will want to give us something to remember. Some sort of bump off the top of the cell isn't out of the question, as long as Edge has something to break his fall, and I'd be willing to bet that some tables, chairs and maybe even ladders get involved, as Edge goes back to his strengths. If they really want to put over his return to being "the real Edge", however, then they should have him use some sort of sick hardcore weapon, like a barbed-wire bat, or something else he wouldn't usually be seen with.

Haha yeah, wouldn't rule out the use of thumbtacks either come to think of it, maybe even some involvement from Mick Foley (though probs unlikely as he could leave the company at any second if reports are to be believed).

Really hope that afer all this anticipation it doesnt turn out to be a let down, no reason why it should be of course...but this is the WWE we're talking about, and I wouldn't put anything past them. Would also be really good to see Edge go over after a real battle of a match, but that won't happen either I wouldn't have thought, no way Taker will agree to job this after taking such a beating in the TLC a few months back, and neither should he be expected to imo, he's earnt this win.

Yeah, 'Taker's gonna go over. Doesn't mean it won't be great, though. What it does mean, however, is that we'll probably get a painful 'Taker vs Khali match for the title at Unforgiven, or at least sometime before Survivor Series. Ouch.

Oh, and for those doubting that Khali's going over, remember that Triple H has just had a baby.

Would have been so much better if they had used Umaga in place of Khali, had they built him up sufficiently over the last two months he would have been a decent option, and would have put on a decent enough match with HHH, esspecially if they made it a street fight or something. Similarly Taker/Umaga would be something potentially interesting, or at least it would be something new. Taker/Khali pretty much sucked last time rounds despite the best efforts of Taker, and I don't suppose it will be any better this time round.
