Of course. I admit he is an idiot and that he has done some stupid things. but what people have to have a closer look at is what he is actually getting punished for, which is very little.

Agree to a point, in a way I think the punishment the Raiders have imposed is as much about preventing further indescretions as it is about what happened in the past. If they let him get off with a slap on the wrist every time then he will only get worse.

Keeping him off the field now is pointless, I think he needs to be playing footy and being in a team environment now, what the Raiders are essentially saying is that he has to manage his problems by himself and come back when he's sorted, which is completely the wrong way to go about it.

FWIW, I got 8 from 8 this week for tipping. Was very pleased with this, and I will be looking to do it again next week.
Lol. As if you wouldn't be looking to do it next week. I think everyone looks to do it every week. Myself, I've never once gone into a tipping week hoping to get less than all of them.

Dunno. If you backed , say, the Storm to beat the Broncs you'd still be rooting for your boys, wouldn't you?

I never back against the Broncos. Don't care who they're up against. Just couldn't sit there and back my team knowing I've tipped against them.

Lucky you're not a Parra fan then.

I mean, loyalty's one thing, but rank stupidity in picking them every week is off the planet stuff for me. Bastards - biggest let down. I really thought this was the year - more so than in 05 or 01. Time to clean the joint out.

I heard on the radio a story that Kaufusi might be going to Parra. Anyone else heard anything on that?

Waste of time signing, he's not going to add anything to the Eels, their problem is they dont have any forwards that want to take 18-19 hit ups a game and just run hard. Kaufusi is not a workhorse which is what they need imo.

I'd be happier if they'd got Jeff Lima tbh. Saw him v Parra when Melbourne had all their blokes out, and he was easily the best on ground that day.

Lima would be a lot better, only have to look at the stats, he makes around 20 hit ups a week when he starts, would be exactly what Parra need and not another Chad Robinson, Nathan Hindmarsh, Daniel Wagon, Todd Lowrie.

His hit ups count too. Cayless has been producing good numbers this year, but there's not much sting in his runs any more - doesn't hurt to tackle him.
One of the blokes who's suffered most by Parra's lack of real fire power has been Moi Moi. It's said that's because he's started, but to me he rips and tears for 15 minutes, whether that's first up or mid way through the half. I reckon he's struggled more coz he's the only forward they have who runs that hard. He's a huge target because of that, whereas if they had another one or two, the defenders can't just look at him all the time as the only one giving go-forward.
Oh, and BTW, they aint fit either -haven't been since round 1.

Even if the Broncos were as dire as Parramatta I'd still be backing them. Did it when Lockyer was out last season. Hurt me in the tips, but I stuck by my side. Don't understand people who do it tbh.

Depends what's at stake inte tipping comp IMO.

If I was a Cowboys fan and they had the injuries they do, and lost say 7 in a row and were drawn to play the Drizzle, I'd find it hard to tip them, but I think your sentiment is a noble one :).

Honestly wouldn't care what is at stake. I'm always going to tip my team. Couldn't live with myself otherwise.

Pretty sure I actually tipped Cowboys in that game and I dont even support them.

Souths sign Rhys Wesser for two seasons.

Such an excellent signing, even if they are paying overs. They needced one thing, and that is a first grade standard fullback. they get that and a little more with Wesser.

James90

Cricketer Of The Year
They've let go a few over the years. Watts, McKinnon and Peachey from memory.

Now that Vagana is well and truly on the blink I thought they'd be better playing Merrett than another veteran who may only have one or two good years left in him.

Quality player Wesser. If he can maintain his form he will be a good addition. Think they could have been smarter though.

Julian87

State Captain
Couldn't have been smarter as there are no other fullbacks on the market besides Brent Grose who EWS is adamant is off to Canberra next season.
