'Eye on England' for today's Pro40 game between Middlesex and Somerset, a Mick and Seth African.

It would seem James Hildreth is too English or crap to be touted (probably the latter).

Surrey in with a good chance of a rare win at Chelmsford - Essex 154-9 with two overs to go in a match reduced to 36 overs. Because D/L will kick in, though, I suppose they'll have to make 10 or 12 more than their opponents.

Yeah, Essex were already 3 down at the rain break weren't they? Never quite sure of the DL mathematics but imagine less will be added on than would be if they had been 0 down?

Oh, not sure if this is really the right place to post it, but did anyone see that Sky renewed their domestic cricket contract?

They now get Tests, ODIs and T20 from 2010-13, same deal with Championship, FP etc, the new EPL, the Stanford Quadrangular (what's that btw, is that a new international tournament being hosted in England?). BBC and Channel 4 didn't bid, shame on them, and neither did ITV who have never shown an interest in the game, nor Setanta, who have shown an interest by getting the IPL rights.

S4C will, though, host 5 Glamorgan games as well as Welsh Village Cricket. Might seek a link out, but then, I might not

edit - oh and 5 will continue to show highlights

And just after I type all that, anyone who's watching the game gets to see Sky give us the details anyway

Not entirely unexpected, never expected the other channels to bid.

Now I've got Sky I'm not that bothered tbh, still like to listen to the radio in the garden on a warm day though.

It's in conjunction with the million dollar game. Played between England, a Super Star squad, the English Twenty20 winners (Middx) and the WI Twenty20 winners (Trinidad/Tobago)

54-3 after 11 or 12 overs, IIRC. Not sure how it works either but I'm expecting Surrey to have to chase around 180.

Well that was what I thought but I didn't think that would be the ECB's to sell, what with it being in the West Indies?

surreys run chase has been verysubstandard

I wouldn't have put it as politely as that. :@ 34-4, and the 10 overs is up now, so no chance of rain coming to the rescue.

Masters has bowled splendidly though - 6-3-7-3 - he was awarded his cap at the interval.
