quite a disappointing draw for the cup semi final. another tough match, a match that i find hard to see ending in anything but defeat. however, i came through today, so there is no reason why fate can't be on my side again next week. always i say, we must believe

From the news page:
Wild cheers were heard all around all nations as players from bot teams were given their marching orders and told they would not be required for any more matches.

The money saved on paying them from the coffers of Battrick Ltd will hopefully be directed to the payment of Representative players if at all possible. More to follow on that story as news breaks.
I've read this three times and still have no idea what the stoat-molesting balls it actually means. Are bots going to play matches without players? Are they not going to play at all? Or is it just a news post written after too much crack? A mystery, to be sure.

They are looking at trying to find a way to pay International players again, as none have been paid in three weeks.

They used bots to try and sound funny, but they are about as funny as Nibbs.

Think it's also related to bots tbh

What to do with bot teams – as of the mid-season of this season, bots will have all players in their team replaced (excepting representative players) during three stages of the season – pre-season, mid-season break and end of season. Natural selection will then see these bots slide down to their natural level (at the bottom).

so they're sacked and new guys come in three times a year. Presumably that means all bots will be roughly equally poor.

Not sure about that. I remember earlier this season when I was scouting for Sri Lankan internationals. I had a look at bot sides and some sides had been bot for two seasons plus and still had the same players.

There's your answer...I think.

Previously (i.e. until now), bots kept their players but had form (or was it PFL?) dialled down to zero.

As of this week, non-NT players will be replaced with numpties. As this is done three times a year, it's reasonably fair as it can be planned for -- it doesn't quite solve the problem where you might play a full-strength team one week while your bitter rival plays a reset side the next...but at least you now know when it'll happen.

Gosh, I've not posted here for bloody ages!

You're quite right - I'd checked Scaly's team when I posted earlier, and the old players were still there, but they've all gone now. Bit of an ignominious end for former NT player Summers, eh? Deleted into very nothingness. Puts ol Vaughany's quitting into perspective...
