Nah, I got confused and didn't know where to post.Could always dig up the lower league thread, failed spectacularly last year but still
Actually no, it's just that on United forums you're probably used to 95% of people being one-eyed idiots, same with all club forums. Only reason I bother with the Cafe is the 5% who are good value.Bit too much anti-United sentiment here
Whatever the technicalities, we've still paid £32m in fees, even if some of it wasn't technically the transfer fee. That's quite a lot.Correct. Where did I dispute a fee of 32 million?
Where are you lot playing first game anyway, are you expecting a struggle this season?
Yeah, understatement from myself.Quite a lot?LOL I doubt we've ever spent that in transfer fees if you added all the fees we've ever paid up.
We're only interested in players from last year who played at Wembley, TBH.You lost Carlisle, you've got no chance.
Like many wingers he was not always consistent. Harley and Edwards played much bigger parts in our semi win, IMO. Taylor, Edwards, Mackie (spit), Logan, Gill all played more influential roles in our season, by far. We did dominate the final without him, too.Was your best player tbh. Spent the whole of the semifinal and the final going 'Where's Carlisle?!!' to my Exeter supporting friend. Came on in the Semi and basically won you the game, led to me saying i was better than Tisdale.
Yeah, hence why the only place I ever discuss football online is either here, or on MSN, club forums as you say, are for the most part, not where you can find any sort of sensible discussion.Actually no, it's just that on United forums you're probably used to 95% of people being one-eyed idiots, same with all club forums. Only reason I bother with the Cafe is the 5% who are good value.
Feel much the same. Thoroughly looking forward to Darlington. Have booked first-class train tickets to get me there a week tomorrow - optimism leads me to believe our beautiful total football gives us a chance to make League One for 2009...Darlington, can you believe it? 5 years in the wilderness and the first match which I have to go too, is in the frozen wasteland of the North-East FFS.
I really don't know how we'll do to be honest. I genuinely believe we have one of the finest young managers in the country, but I don't know whether it'll take us time to adjust. We've a young team which could go either way really. We play football though, so that will help us I think, the higher up we go, theoretically the better we may be. At times our play is seriously slick and Harley and Gill are the best creative midfield duo I've seen play for Exeter. Marcus Stewart and a fully fit Basham will just add to that quality. Morecambe and Dagenham went up last year, and Morecambe did better, because they also played it in the right way.
So I'm genuinely excited, and really think mid-table respectability is the worst that will happen.
Anyway with points reductions having, and possibly, still to be handed out, relegation shouldn't be a n option.....
Tottenham looking like they will be coming pretty hard this season. Will be very interested to see how they line-up...
Yeah to play a REAL derby..........Feel much the same. Thoroughly looking forward to Darlington. Have booked first-class train tickets to get me there a week tomorrow - optimism leads me to believe our beautiful total football gives us a chance to make League One for 2009...
