Mainly because in Ireland We've got indigenous sports plus football and rugby to think about before cricket. But the community is 10,000 odd strong. Good enough to match up to New Zealand if the right Funding was around.
Not true, because the current standard of NZ cricket was largely inspired by Richard Hadlee, and if a world-class Irish all-rounder was to emerge today, he'd almost certainly defect to England.

Hence the need for funding and Test Status even if we aren't up to it. Because we eventually will be.

And we've retained the European Championship. I was tense earlier with the rain, we might have lost it by default.

Should Cricket have at least one Indoor stadium in every Test Nation, in order to conduct finals of major tournaments, cause sharing or loosing World cup or Champions Trophy cause of bad weather after waiting for 4 years wont make sense?
