Pretty impressed with events at GAB and RAW, to be honest. Things are going well at the moment.

WWE are doing a good job of teasing the inevitable Cena vs Batista match at WrestleMania XXV, too. Little confrontations here and there, the brawl at the end of RAW - that match will pull in insane amounts of money when it happens.

Did you seriously watch a 3 hour PPV at work during lunch Duffer?

That is so ****in awesome.
I watched a 3 hour PPV at work, too. Worked 6pm-2.30am, watched the first two hours while cleaning the bar up, then clocked out and stayed around to watch the last hour.

That Jericho promo on Raw was bloody brilliant. Can't expect anything less than brilliant from Jericho. Great to see D'lo Brown on the show as well. Still not happy about how CM Punk is being booked, but hopefully he'll get the clean win at Summerslam, because having a champion like CM Punk is a huge benefit to WWE from a publicity standpoint. Also it seems that Punk is bringing in the ratings so far, so lets hope he gets to keep the belt for a meaningful amount of time.
Jericho has an unlimited upside, it's a shame he's been wasted for so long though but loving his work these days. Still see more to come from him and Shawn and I have a feeling HBK will make him return the job at SS.

Finally seeing D'Lo back was awesomeness though. I was so down with the Brown back in the day and Vince wants a clean cut African American to fill the Lashley void so there's hope he could get pushed strong.

Punk's the new Bret Hart, imo, not because of the way he wrestles, but his build.

The circumstances where the belts were put on both men are more or less the same, with Vince trying to shy away from the "roided" types. He's going to keep the title for a while.
Yeah, but he's now somehow got Batista,Kane,JBL and Cena in the title hunt for SS, so a EC Chamber or a big time gimmick match is on the cards. Just hope Vince puts him over to the moon but it's looking real congested in the ME scene there.

The only thing that's worrying me is Jacobs's impending retirement. Surely the E can't think of the ECW title as an appropriate "thank you"?

Dunno rumour going round backstage is that the mask will definitely be going back on in the near future apparently, that's bound to be a very over angle so it could lead to some sort push.

Shelton picking up the US title at GAB suggests it could be him to gill the void, and tbh, they could do far worse, what a champ.

Last time they tried that sort of thing with him, it involved RVD's family jewels. I'm not very optimistic.

ha, the imposter Kane episode kind of just died when they tried that a few years ago as well....now imposter Kane wrestles on Smackdown as Festus, gutted.

D'Lo's got more personality than 90% of the current roster combined though. Something Shelton for the life of it couldn't do. D'Lo can go in the ring as well so put him up with a good heel and you've got gold. Would love to see him and Edge somewhere down the line.

I like D'lo and all, but I really hope he doesn't get anywhere above the upper card. Stable head, tag titles, secondary titles are all fine, but I don't see him getting into the main event.

Also, I really hope he stopped doing his powerbombs, that incident must've come as a great shock to him, and I doubt he's ever going to get over the guilt.

Though I agree, it would be good, I can't see it happening, I imagine at his age D'Lo will now be mainly deployed in a way similar to that of Hardcore Holly, the respected old pro who hangs around the midcard and doesnt really get much to do more often than not. Would like to be proved wrong, but sad as it is, I expect D'Lo won't have much have of an impact.

Didn't realise this until recently, but Droz is still writing for WWE.com, good for him, nice of the E to keep him on somehow as well.

Honeslty if they could make Bradshaw into a quality ME performer then D'Lo can surpass that. Either way he's done his pennance for Droz and by all accounts since the incident has worked hard, modified his style and is safe as houses these days.

On another note anyone hear about what happened to the Hogans? Apparently Hogan's son Nick was drag racing and killed a friend of his, with both cars supplied by Hogan. Now the family is sueing and Hogan's response was to laugh it off and claim it was only about the money? Good god, he's a dickhead of the highest order. Hope they bleed him dry. Just hope this doesn't mean another comeback from him.

Yeah, heard about that, though I thought he didn't kill him, but paralysed him or something of that sort.

Suing over something like that is pretty disgraceful in my eyes, but the Hogans' behaviour over the lawsuit isn't exactly squeaky-clean either.

EDIT: Brooke not Nick was drag racing. Nick also had a car crash and is now in jail apparently?
Brooke did it too? What a ridiculously stupid family.

Tbf to D'Lo, the botched powerbomb was apparently largely down to a drink that a fan threw into the ring which led to him slipping whilst trying to exectue the move.

And yeah, Hogan is being sued, I too hope that they bleed him dry, deserves it totally tbh, seems like being a wanker runs in their family, Nick Hogan strikes me as being one of the biggest dickheads i've ever seen.

I think the reason they're sueing is because they were drunk at the time and Hogan provided both the cars and the alcohol which got them drunk. Either way, couldn't have happened to a bigger **** than old man Hollywood.

Marked out hard for D'Lo when he came back, he even had his gangsta attitude era music that sounds ridiculously random in todays WWE environment

Main event pissed me off though, partly because the ending was stupid but also because of the crowd. Chanting "boring" when Punk was kicking Batista's ass with some good submission wrestling, it's just an indication of the kind of ****s that fund the WWE in America with their casual money who are all HUR HUR CENA BATISTA STRONG SPEAR FU **** YEAH and can't appreciate good wrestling which is why we get such dross in the main event scene. failures at life :@

To be honest, Cena isn't all that popular.

Take note of the voices in the crowd whenever there are cheers and boos for him. The cheers are almost exclusive high-pitched (kids and women), whereas the boos are all full of bass (adult men who don't give a toss about his fake-homieness).

Majin

I'd still prefer that to having boring chanted at me though  And I haven't noticed as much anti-Cenaism lately as there was before. It's nowhere near as vehement as it was before anyway

edit: also apparently after Raw went off the air last night Cena gave a promo that alluded to the Batista/Cena match so it might be coming at Summerslam. Not for the title obv but still. Would have thought it would make better sense to hold it off for 'Mania
