yeah that's why I was lamenting this guy not being on creative anymore. Some of those ideas are great but we're more likely to get Trips burying Edge for months making vague statements about his ***uality using hot dog sausages and "Batista more like Boogertista am I right ha ha ha" than anything substantial.

Man I want Cena to go heel more than anything in wrestling. Back to his vicious heel days with his promo's where he freestyled fire at people.
Watch RAW tonight, his(Cena's) latest promo was class.

Really really good RAW tonight. Loved Cena's promo on JBL. I hope the WWE now get it that if you give him good stuff to work with he's your franchise right there. Another great promo was Rhodes and DiBiase putting themsleves over with Duggan. Really loved how JBL and Cena put these two and Crime Tyme over in the six man tag too.

Punk-Kane was good too and although I don't like count out wins as I don't think they put guys over as well as they are meant to this one wasn't bad.

Overall, liked how they're not abandoning pushing the new guys on the program and slowly but steadily Punk, Kofi R&DB are getting better reactions from the crowd. Apart from Edge, most of the good things happening in WWE are on Raw right now. Bit disappointed they couldn't find one minute of TV time for Rey Rey though.
Not that these are spoilers, but after Raw apparently CM Punk got buried by Batista in a dark match that only lasted for three minutes and ended with a Batista Bomb.

Still hoping CM Punk retains at the Great American Bash, but somehow it doesn't look good.

Well they're pushing the underdog envelope pretty hard with Punk on air, so I get the feeling he's going over Batista, at least at this PPV. Agree entirley with the theory that face champions need long reigns to be succesful and just hope he's given an unconditional protected push.

Apparently there's still been no reason given as to why Trevor Murdoch was released, but Michael Hayes who pushed for him to go to Smackdown! was planning to tag team him with MVP as he felt they had potential as a comedy duo. All I have to say is thank **** for that, MVP definitely a future star and as funny as it could have been tag teaming him with Murdoch would have just held his career back imho.

Yeah I heard this too, apparently it was partly down to the fact that Murdoch didn't want to go through with this angle, and also down to the fact that the creative team really had no good way of working him into another angle, and so the E booted him, a shame imo, as he was decent on the mic and not terrible in the ring, but can't say that he had much going for him really.

The Condemned starring Austin was a pretty fun movie, and I know I've heard The Marine starring Cena is ****, but I just found out it has T1000 (Robert Patrick) in it. I must watch it now.

I'm writing this in the wrestling forum because I miss this place, but don't watch wrestling anymore. :(

SD! - Show ended with Edge and Vickie until HHH comes out and he's got the goods. Edge has been putting the moves on Matt Hardy's girlfriend. No, actually on Victoria Crawford (the wedding planner woman). And Vickie blows up.

Think Barney called it earlier, but interesting to see how this plays out. Heel v Heel generally isn't wel received but Vickie's a special case so anything goes with her.

Believe I did call this actually. Go me. Think I also called something else too, so I covered my bases pretty well.

Yeah, but Vince loves these sleazebag angles so not surprised to see the new Diva thrown straight into one.

Also I still can't believe I've seen it, but Khali just Khali Bombed the Big Show :-O. Perfectly executed as well. First Khali match I've seen where he doesn't botch a spot. Well done that man.

Yeah, that was pretty impressive. Although with a move like that, it's pretty much all up to the guy taking the spot, rather than Khali - they wouldn't give Khali a finisher he had to do most of the work for.

GAB should be a good'un, looking forward to it myself - Shelton Benjamin has a title match, it's a miracle! :D

Without checking WWE.com I assume that's for the US title? Shame he'll lose, but it's noticeable how recently he's been given involvement in some decent mid card matches, hopefully this kind of exposure will lead to some sort of push.

My GAB Review(Had Main Event in the lunch room at work, so ended up taking a ridiculously long and early lunch today):

SD! Tag Title Match: Hawkins and Ryder going over was a nice change from the Miz and Morrison. Quite a solid match for mine, and a good way to open a show.

Hardy v Shelton: Shelton going over would have been nice, if he hadn't spent the last few months as a jobber. Was a good match and the crowd got into it later on in the piece when there was very little reaction ealry on. An example of letting wrestlers get themselves over in the ring perhaps? Good clean win for Shelton, interested to see what new and improved ways of wasting him they find.

Henry v Dreamer: Didn't give a toss before the match and cared even less after it. Good opportunity for me to make it look like I was interested in working. Apparently Henry won.

HBK v Jericho Woah, a match from left field here. Loved seeing Jericho working over the eye for several minutes and got a great win (although having the ref stop the match isn't the optimal way of jobbing). To Michaels' credit though, he sold really well.

Punk v Batista Punk worked really really hard to make this a good match and it was. Which made the finish where Kane came in and laid both of them out for a no-contest even more ****ty than I would've thought it was by just reading it.

Unbelievable, put a strap on the new guy whom you're hoping to elevate to the level of your current ME's and he does nothing wrong, looks good on the mic busts his ass in the ring for you and this is how they reward him? Heading for a Sumerslam Triple Threat and I hope to hell they put Punk over real strong there. If they don't the might as well have not put the belt on him.

Cena v JBL Been a long time since the last Parking Lot Brawl I remember and this was pretty good. Have no problems with JBL getting the win. It makes him look credible again and the loss has no impact on how over Cena is so a good result for all. Just hope this is the end of these two feuding and they go their seperate ways now.

Triple H v Edge Good match, Edge losing after being distracted by the Vickie v Fox sideshow and Triple H pinning him in the ring. Surprisingly have no problems with this, they booked the last SD! specifically for the split and now we can have Edge and Vickie with a final blowoff program and Trips can move on and bury someone else I guess.

Overall, good show except for that Punk finish which was terrible unless they compensate by getting to the moon at Summerslam.

Agree with Duffer on the whole here, a better end for the Y2J match would have been for him to have put HBK in the Liontamer until he passed out and the ref stopping the match at that point.

Dissapointed that Punk only retained by DQ as it doesnt really put him over enough, a win over Batista would have done him a world of good tbh, and a defeat for Batista wouldnt have worsened his image at all really.

To all intents and purposes RAW looked pretty decent last night, good promo by Y2J, and the return of D'LO!!!

In other news....

James "Sandman" Fullington was arrested last night at the La Lanterna restaurant in Yonkers for throwing glasses at employees of the restaurant.

When officers arrived, he started throwing glasses at them and two officers suffered cuts on the hands and arms. He was subdued and charged with second degree assault, a felony, third degree criminal mischief, also a felony, second degree reckless enlargement and resisting arrest. He was taken to jail for psychiatric evaluation.

According to an eye witness, police pulled guns on him in the incident at the birthday party for Louis Albano (the one and the same). Fullington was bleeding badly as the owner of the restaurant to try and subdue him threw a beer bottle which hit Fullington in the face
Oh Sandman...sigh....always found him a highly amusing character, so it's sad to see him end up in a state like this, but that said, it doesn't surprise me in the least.

That Jericho promo on Raw was bloody brilliant. Can't expect anything less than brilliant from Jericho. Great to see D'lo Brown on the show as well. Still not happy about how CM Punk is being booked, but hopefully he'll get the clean win at Summerslam, because having a champion like CM Punk is a huge benefit to WWE from a publicity standpoint. Also it seems that Punk is bringing in the ratings so far, so lets hope he gets to keep the belt for a meaningful amount of time.

Punk's the new Bret Hart, imo, not because of the way he wrestles, but his build.

The circumstances where the belts were put on both men are more or less the same, with Vince trying to shy away from the "roided" types. He's going to keep the title for a while.
