*Official* Rookie Signings thread

Awesome! Let's move on and forget the last few pages which have been a God damn embarrassing shambles from everyone involved, especially myself!

In all honesty with the short time period between not having all that much time between offering and signing, we had to rush things as most of our time was taken up by Sunday no matter what hemisphere you were in and we didn't want to get left out. Wasn't the most ideal situation. Still in the end, 2 players were signed, that's the important thing.

Perhaps Thomas and I could have been more organised, but things for us to learn.

One week without Jack and look what happens to Colts. Scary to think what the club would be like by the end of the season.

The Colts' first offer is to Andy E.K. Maina
I think Maina's offer should be cancelled in favour of an offer to Kieren Horton tbh.

In fact, Colts offer Horton a rookie contract
Colts formally withdraw offer to Maina and offer a rookie contract to Nathan J. Spinks
I demand a review of this transaction on the grounds that the first post was made a 1am and I had no reasonable chance of accepting/rejecting the offer without messing with my own sleep patterns.

Communication breakdown at Colts in the first place. It's a shambles but it's all be sorted now. I'd prefer we continue on without dragging this out longer than it has.

Colts are free to pick whoever they like, really. You will get signed to a team soon, this is not the end of the draft.

This thread will be merged with the contract thread when things are wrapped up.

The guidelines:

1. Teams may approach rookies in a stated draft order. In each round a team must sign a player or pass before the next team can pick.
2. Players have the option of accepting or rejecting a team.
3. Each team has a maximum of 48 hours to complete its pick. However, the draft moves to the next team as soon as a pick is made and cofirmed.
4. All picks must be confirmed by a CWBCC member.

The draft order:

Round 1
1. Colts x 2 picks
2. Blue x 1
3. Black x 1

Round 2
1. Red x 1
2. Black x 1
3. Blue x 1
4. Colts x 1

Round 3 and onward
1. Colts
2. Blue
3. Black
4. Red
(+ Green if necessary.)

CW Green will receive draft picks only when other squads reach 19 players.
CW Green - 19
CW Red - 18
CW Black - 17
CW Blue - 16
CW Colts - 15

CW Blue to move up to 17 with next pick, then Colts pick twice to move to17 too. Colts, Blue and Black then pick once each to bulk up to 18, and Red joins them with a further pick so everyone is up to 19.
Think it counts as a pass, otherwise it wouldn't have been our turn now.

You get two picks after Black & Blue now, however.
Does this mean it's round 3 and we get 1 pick?

Just to clarify for me please.

We had two picks in round 1, 1 of which was passed on. Then two picks this round, or was one of the picks for this round and the other for the next? Or was this round us having 2 to do with the fact that the 2nd contract in the first round was passed on?
