We can, but they have Vaas (and Mendis) playing this time. Won't be so easy.My picture's a little grainy here, but is this as much of a road as the previous games? As in can we get 300+ chasing on this?
Still probably would've done better than RP Singh or Pathan, but oh well thats if's and but's again. Thing is for these sorts of games, five bowlers become pretty critical. There are some asking why Praveen Kumar was not picked. Truth is, from India's best swing bowler, he's become un-pick-able rubbish. Basically a rough patch like one that came to Irfan has come very early in his career.
RP Singh was India's best bowler on form before Ishant's three strikes. Irfan's batting is a huge factor when Sanath is smashing sixes and a 350+ is on the cards, and also when they have five bowlers. Praveen was good until this tournament, with everyone hitting fours and sixes off him.Still probably would've done better than RP Singh or Pathan, but oh well thats if's and but's again. India have eight batsmen. They can give it a shot into the stands. The only real threat is Murali, and they have enough manpower to handle the rest.We can, but they have Vaas (and Mendis) playing this time. Won't be so easy.
Definitely batting fast enough.I just get a feeling that Sanath Jayasuriya will be getting to 194+
Go on Sanath... you will definetly get it against paathetic Indian attack today?
Looking for something special from Gambhir tbh. Gave up relying on Sehwag a long time ago, if he comes off it's a bonus afaic.Sanath seems unstoppable, even against good bowling. They can't do much, only knock down the other end.
The big question is who can do a Sanath for India. He's been insanely aggressive, with at least one chance going down, and hitting India's best bowler for at least three sixes. At least one for India has to do it, and it should be a joker in the pack- maybe Irfan or Uthappa.
I would say Pathan is ugly bowling with powerplays on! I do not khow how he got his place today when his last two matches ended with 60+ bowling figures...(may be Dhoni thought he would be of help with bat)Looking at RP Singh's Asia Cup so far, he couldn't be dropped.
So Pathan should have been.
Gambhir doesn't have the power for that. Any such attempt and some old critics will start complaining about his temperament under pressure. We're talking of raw power and insane aggression. They can't afford to have their best batsman get corrupted by that.Looking for something special from Gambhir tbh. Gave up relying on Sehwag a long time ago, if he comes off it's a bonus afaic.
