***Official*** Asia Cup

Sehwag is a solid bowler. He has good control of flight and turns the ball - he is a highly underrated spinner and his poor statistics come from the fact that, before this Asia Cup, he was bowled when all others have been hit for runs - which points to a flat track or a well performing battling line up. Irfan does not need wickets, he needs to work on his bowling technique and core strength more - unfortunately, it is much more the confidence that Pathan is lacking.
The problem is- Sehwag bowls barely three a match, and averages over 40, and has never taken five wickets in an innings. No bowler with such figures would ever make a starting XI, let alone get even those three overs. Less so on a flat pitch, against set batsmen.

Irfan and Praveen have problems, but these are not solutions, but only more problems at hand- they have out-of-form frontline bowlers and totally unusable part-timers. The way these bowlers are managed is absolutely dreadful, no two ways about it.

Should have been three overs and a wicket- but a high throw from point and no backing up means five runs. We could make a list of bloopers here on the field. Why blame Irfan and Praveen for this?

Wonder how many bowlers who bowl three overs a match take five wickets in an innings

Anyway, Ojha finishes with 1 for 55 in ten overs. Started off well, but the last two overs ruined it.

A throw from point hits the stumps directly, not out, but Dhoni lets lose an extra single.

I haven't seen Ojha bowl much and my Setanta is currently not working - what are his attributes?

The Indian bowlers have had problems, but they've bowled very few no-balls and wides. Only two wides so far.

There's a blooper on screen I picked up- Appy Fizz triva challenge

Ojha was not afraid to flight the ball, and was very tight. The pace was very slow, and few boundaries were hit. Once Kapu swept him for a six, the last two overs were full of runs. Honestly, he's a very good prospect for one-dayers, and should be a regular in Sri Lanka, giving Chawla some rest.

The last ten overs begin - this is where India either win or lose this match.
They get one of these out and they can run through the team. A lot of big hits will be expected from Weeraratne and Mirando.

Chawla is not good enough on pitches not offering spin, unfortunately. He should be dropped rather than rested.

Who's your choice for replacement? I'd say Amit Mishra should make it.
Ojha can be his replacement. Amit Mishra can replace him as the role of a 'second spinner' in ODIs, if such a plan is chosen.

Bouncer from Irfan Pathan hits Weeraratne on his helmet at 123.8k and rolls to unprotected fine leg for four.

Finally, something good on the field. A half-tracker by Irfan was pulled by Dilshan and caught at square-leg, inches away from the boundary by RP Singh.

And when you need a direct hit, Rohit Sharma misses (takes a little time) and Weeraratne was safe.

Weeraratne keeps on swishing at off, and edged one to an unprotected thirdman boundary for four.
