Watched all of the Federer v Hewitt match that I could. Although Hewitt didn't win there were some positive signs. He wasn't playing at his best, but neither was Federer. I just sat there in awe at the class of Federer. Hewitt put him under so much pressure late in the 2nd and early in the 3rd set, and he just had all the answers.

Was dirty on Hewitt for pretty much handing the 1st set tiebreaker to Federer.

Shattered Verdasco lost to Ancic. That Verdasco match just is basically a 4 hour look at his career, some brilliant tennis that can match it with the best but just cant sustain it for long enough to seriously challenge. Such a shame.

There's an innate grace to the way Federer moves. It's compelling to watch, almost hypnotic.
He hits the ball as hard as a lot of guys, yet it looks like he's carressing it. I think that's why I like watching him so much - reminds ome of watching a guy like Gower or Mark Waugh batting.

murray dodged a bullet there...ancic-federer should be interesting...
Federer will destroy him. Ancic will be tired after his epic 5-setter and that won't help his chances. Yeah, he beat Federer in 2002...but Federer wasn't 1/10th of the player he is now in 2002.

I don't understand Scaly, he pretends to hate Murray, but he only posts when Murray is playing, and clearly gets pissed off when he isn't playing well.

Reckon he's secretly got a poster of Murray in his room.

Never understood the Rafa hate tbh. Apart from being a Catalan who supports Real Madrid I find nothing hateable about him at all.

Can't speak for others, but it's not Rafa hate for me, rather it's Roger love.

Find it hard to believe that anyone can "hate" top sportsmen tbh. Well at least the ones that actually perform well and win things, my hate of Davydenko, Ancic, Ljubicic, Henman is justified in that they have never won anything of note but still the lovefest goes on.

Not sure I have seen a player over celebrate winning points as much as Murray.

He needs to tone that down, being aggresive is fine but sceaming "YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHSSSSSSSS SSSSSS" every time he wins a point is pretty obnoxious. Comes off as a British Lleyton for mine.

Dementieva was up 6-1 5-1 against Petrova, and suddenly Petrova has taken the second set 7-6. Would be a huge choke if she loses.

i didn't predict anything did i?:)

just said it would be interesting...forget 2002, feds has beaten him since at wimbledon itself...he would go in as the huge favourite...it's just that ancic has a game well suited to grass so it might be fed's biggest test yet...
