Can't see the match, but from his figures alone it looks like Gillespie's doing pretty damn well (1/12 off 5.1 overs). How well is he actually bowling?

Hes actually bowling really well at the moment. I've been critical of him in the past but credit where its due, hes been much better than Mills thus far. A few top deliveries to KP this over.

Another one gone, Cook departs with Southee's second delivery. :) Not really sure playing Cook was the right move for England.

I actually said to someone on msn when he came on that hes a chance of a few wickets so nice to see one of my predictions came right for once. :p

I wish I had the guts to put a post up earlier saying Southee should be brought on. No chance of smugness from me now. Southee you beauty!!

I wonder how much the bookies were offering for Southee to be leading wicket taker of the ODI series at the start of the tour?

"Too young" Tim strikes again!

I wonder how long it will be before all those saying that he should be back playing with people his own age realise that the only damage being done is to the English batsmen

Going by Cricinfo commentary, there appears to be just the one loose ball which turns an over from a very good one to an average one. RRR as a result is hovering around 5.81, which is definitely manageable.

EDIT: As I speak, Oram puts in a tidy over and the RRR reaches the magic 6.

Could not happen at a better time for NZ. RRR now just above 6. Agree with PhoenixFire; Bopara would have been the better wicket to take at the moment. Is Elliott fit to bowl?

Thank goodness I've missed most of this. I left after Bell gave it away yet again after getting a start, hut hoped that the others might do something on a beautiful batting strip. Some hope.

Somehow today we have a lineup that is both a batsman and a bowler short - something of a triumph, I feel.
