Bottom line I think, or whichever one does the RAW highlights.wait is Todd Grisham on Afterburn or Bottom Line?
Josh Matthews > Todd Grisham. Grisham strikes me as too Generic without a style of his own.Bottom Line > Afterburn tbh, because of Todd Grisham.
Meltzer has his own vested interests in the wrestling industry, he has to sell his share of subscriptions and doing more to damage the credibility of his industry isn't going to help him in the long run.Say what you will, but I think Meltzer is full of hot air, second only to Scott Keith in that regard. If he gets all these supposedly "inside" stories, why does the Pro Wrestling Observer never contain any information about the serious problems of the industry before they end up on mainstream news? The PWO never ran stories about Benoit's alleged mental instability, or about the prescription scam that rocked the E after Benoit. Not surprisingly, we haven't had any updates since, either. Oh, and they ran a story about someone's house in Florida or Atlanta (can't remember which) being stashed. Well, we never found out whose house it was, or what happened to them after.
I've given up hope of Chris ever getting to the top again. I doubt he cares too much either. And on another dissapointing note, it seems that the Y2J/HBK feud is being given hardly any exposure, as on the front page of the WWE website under the RAW section its not even referenced, insteand focusing on the money giveaway and Jeff Hardy, not good.
Hoping that if Jericho goes onto launch a feud with anyone, he will win the blow off, just has to for the sake of what little credibility he still has.
Well said and I agree with you. I think the rose tinted glasses of wrestling fans, promoters and stakeholders have to come off if any change is going to occur. A lot of the stuff written is true and is sickening and should not be happening in wrestling or any other sport.Meltzer has his own vested interests in the wrestling industry, he has to sell his share of subscriptions and doing more to damage the credibility of his industry isn't going to help him in the long run.
I know he's not exactly foolproof but he's been right on a lot of things before and is as close to an independant authority on what happens in the WWE as you'll find.
And I like the fact that the book is written by a guy who's not associated with wrestling in his normal line of work (although he has some very well placed sources such as Heyman and many writers and wrestlers who were willing to go on record). Being external to the industry means he had no-one to protect when writing the book and can give a reasonably objective view of what he's found out about the industry.
Benoit is obviously a focal point, his story is the one that will sell and the one that made people sit up and think what's going on in wrestling? From all accounts the sections on Benoit are quite detailed and have plenty of referenced sources to back up his account of the situation, so I know that people want to believe it to be sensationalist tosh and retain some level of innocence in watching wrestling but it's really the white elephant in the room now.
He always says in interviews it doesn't matter to him whether he's in the mid card, the opening bout or the main event. He just wants to entertain. Good approach but you'll never win the World Title with that mentality. But yeah, I doubt he cares.I've given up hope of Chris ever getting to the top again. I doubt he cares too much either.
That's exactly how I feelJust watched the last TNA Impact and sad to say I enjoyed it a lot more than I enjoyed any WWE show of the past year or so. Yeah it's cheap, gimmicky and not exactly thought provoking but it killed whatever stale **** Vince has been feeding us this past few years.
Although I'll probably never be really into it I wish them well, wrestling's really crying out for proper competition again.
Really? Where did you hear that?Interesting move by the E, seems that they are drafting Cena bck to Smackdown...guess they identified the fact that the main event scene over there needs to be freshened up, only hope this leads to someone new being given the chance to mainevent on RAW with Cena no longer in the picture. Jeff Hardy anyone? Or maybe CM Punk?
On a side note, I bought Chris Jericho's autobiography the other day, looking forward to starting it.
This is the above match, now on Youtube. I'd be interested to see what our fellow CW Wrestling fans think of this one. I thought this match was out of this world and far better than anything WWE have done on Raw or Smackdown in years. That's exactly how I feel
I love TNA. Wherever I can see Christian Cage, AJ Styles, Booker T and Kurt Angle perform is the company that has my support.
How unbelievable was that match between Team Japan vs Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin? Vince McMahon would never, ever have a match like that on Raw or Smackdown. That match was absolutely electric!
Loved Impact this week, great to see Daivari on TV as captain of Team International and I love the World X Cup Idea showcasing the best of international talent.
TNA have some of the best talent in the world, if only they can sort out some minor issues in creative and they'd have a great show from top to bottom!
I heard it on a wrestling news site which is usually pretty reliable, have to wait and see if they are right on this occasion, though that move seems to make sense for the WWE and Cena, so wouldnt be surprised if that happens.Really? Where did you hear that?
It'd be probably the most interesting thing WWE has done since they drafted Cena to Raw to 'supposedly' feud with Christian and Jericho.
Interesting news this, but this just leads me to believe that we'll be seeing more Edge vs Cena or Cena vs Batista. Of course a Cena vs Undertaker or Cena vs MVP feud could be really good.
