Pine would be almost worth investing in, if you had 4 nets free. After 1 season of 2 stamina 1 field 1 keeping he would look something like this:

Stamina: mediocre W/Keeping: woeful
Batting: exquisite Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: wonderful Consistency: competent
Fielding: feeble

The next season:

Stamina: strong W/Keeping: feeble
Batting: exquisite Concentration: strong
Bowling: wonderful Consistency: superb
Fielding: mediocre

Season after:

Stamina superb W/Keeping: mediocre
Batting: exquisite Concentration: wonderful
Bowling: wonderful Consistency: exceptional
Fielding: competent

Alot of work, but after 3 seasons you could sell him for a good 10 million more than you bought him for. Not sure if it would be worth the 4 nets though.

Grady Allison - 18 yo, BT Rating=7,510

Allison developing really nicely at this stage. Likewise can be said of Winters :)

Stretched the budget and bought myself this, which I think is a decent purchase for £2m:

4. Matt Boardley - 25 yo, BT Rating=13,251
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, woeful batting form, competent bowling form, sublime fitness.
A destructive player with woeful leadership skills and competent experience.
Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: strong Concentration: competent
Bowling: woeful Consistency: woeful
Fielding: competent

Wouldn't be great value if not for the wage of £3,324, which suggests he's pretty close to superb. Going to stick him on one batting net until he pops, should increase his value by a good £1-2m. Plus I desperately need the batting depth. Shame he's destructive, but at least there'll be someone to stick around with my gun bats now.

headhunter

International Vice-Captain
Rafi Bashir - 17 yo, BT Rating=6,723
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh fitness.
A destructive player with strong leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: respectable Concentration: woeful
Bowling: respectable Consistency: woeful
Fielding: worthless

An attacking player with competent leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: proficient Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless

Deciding whether to sell or keep training, how much do you think i'd get for him?

Playing my B team against a much better team in my first Div.IV game, and somehow have him at 2/35. He's playing a decent strength team too, gotta love mediocre bowlers.

There's a bidding war on one of my 17yo med/med/meds  This is the same guy which I couldn't even sell last week. He's up to $17k so far, but there's still 12 minutes to go!

Was just informed that if Varney had Superb Stamina he would be in the nats. So as soon as a net frees up

Anyone else's players, like, way too fit this morning? Piercy had four nets yesterday and has mediocre stamina, but is up to sublime already. No complaints here, of course, but it's weird as.

Edit: yep, definitely something weird going on, all the bot teams' PFLs have jumped, too (example). Oh well, solves some of my early-season fixture congestion.

Here are my two 17yos for the season, having freed up some nets with the impending departures of Kerr & Mcinally:

Richard Appleyard (1882221)

A destructive player with respectable leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Anchormen
Nationality: New Zealand
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 4,386
Wages: £800 p/w
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: respectable Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: abysmal

Nigel Whitehouse (1878114)

RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, respectable batting form, mediocre bowling form, lively fitness.
An attacking player with feeble leadership skills and abysmal experience.

Plays For: Anchormen
Nationality: Australia
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 4,669
Wages: £708 p/w
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: respectable Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: woeful

Would've liked Appleyard to be steady or attacking, but destructive will do. Both will be on at least 2 primary nets for the next season or two - that solves my 5th bowler problem and will give me a 5th batsman in the works.

Also, Kerr & Mcinally are being listed for 3m each, Kerr is already up and Mcinally will go up tomorrow:

Philip Mcinally - 19 yo, BT Rating=16,444
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, strong batting form, superb bowling form, sublime fitness.
A steady player with superb leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: superb Concentration: proficient
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: woeful
Fielding: worthless

Max Kerr - 19 yo, BT Rating=17,542 [transfer listed]
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, competent bowling form, sublime fitness.
A cautious player with strong leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: superb Concentration: strong
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: mediocre

Interesting prospects Dauth. Not very high wages, but decent enough levels. How much did you pay?

1mil for Whitehouse and 600k for Appleyard. Pretty sure I overpaid a fair bit but I don't mind... at least it wasn't a massive 2-3mil spending spree.

End of Over 59 (1 runs). The Flying Wickets: 145-10, runrate=2.46
Turner 19-7-37-4
Gittens* 69 (153 balls)

Brilliant start to the season against the newly demoted team in my FC League. They have plenty of strong batsmen in their lineup but Woods and Turner ran through them nicely on a cracked wicket.
