Good point, Nibbs was a bit of a stupid oversight. No reflection on Nibbs, just didn't pop into my head when I was thinking of small electorates.

But NZ could be a good country to target

Guess we'd need to crack on though, with elections opening on Monday!
trev. what can i say? i would, but i'd lose interest quickly. too quickly.

PY, just drove the bidding on Doherty up, didnt really want him but was happy to spend 500 on him. Kinda glad i didnt keep on going.

I noticed you were getting some bids on, cheers mate. :)

Made my investment back without having ever invested in him so I'm happy. Plus it means I am back into the black with 4 days of gate receipts to come this week.

Does anyone else here use AtStumps? Got it working saturday, and I now want to update it after training, but when I try to import my squad & nets again it just tells me that the index is out of bounds. Any suggestions?

Got Quintin up the extra level I wanted. Will probably sell him and Willetts at the end of season and buy in another all rounder to help Murali out. Murali nearly finished off a couple more weeks on batting & bowling and he should exceptional/exceptional x2, then work on stamina for a season.

Couple of secondary pops:

3. Mathew Kepler - 20 yo, BT Rating=42,383
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, feeble bowling form, energetic fitness.
A destructive player with competent leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: strong Wicket Keeping: strong

8. Daren Prutton - 18 yo, BT Rating=14,706
RH Batsman, RH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, competent bowling form, energetic fitness.
An attacking player with competent leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: feeble Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: strong Consistency: proficient
Fielding: mediocre

Edit: When do people think I should stop Kepler's WK training? His consistency is getting way ahead of his batting now - I'm inclined to stop training his glovework at superb and to take his stamina net off when he hits superb (3 weeks time), leaving him trundling away for a few seasons with just the one batting net. What do you think?

Some primary pops would be nice. Anyway, looking good for the first real week of season, got Death Knights in FC and Borderliners in OD. PFLs are all sublime for the first time in ages. Rested virtually everyone in the cup match, scraped home in the 47th over. Would have been pretty annoyed had I lost as the cup is worth at least a million in extra gate receipts.

Bonkers bonkers bonkers. A, that there are so many good Yps around - I mean it's getting to the stage that you can count yourself unlucky if you don't get at least one Resp in your first two pulls. B, that this doesn't seem to have had any appreciable effect on dampening down the transfer market. C, that nobody in BT authority has stopped to think of the massive debasement of BT skills which this flood of Resp Yps is going to have in two or three seasons. D, Quite how vain a lot of managers appear to be, gladly passing up bargain players with one level inferior secondaries or Stam, preferring to pay through the nose for potential U19 prospects, when only twenty or so of the three hundred currently on the market will ever get a look-in.

However, none of that is quite as outlandishly, insanely Brittany Speares'esque as this bloke!

Averages 25 with the bat, T/S 35*, and 66 with the ball, Econ 6.34. Well worth £54K P/W!!! Although, having said all that, I personally don't think he's irretrievable, and if you had two Stam nets, a Field and a WK going spare, he'd probably be a pretty cheap way of getting yourself an awesome allrounder. Would certainly represent a quicker return on your money than a 17YO Resp/Resp

I pulled a Comp/Feeb RFM, Woe Stam, Woe/Woe Bat, comp Field. With wages of £553, he's nothing special, but hopeful of getting £100+ for him.

No pops today - Currently in trans-season fat-camp, with the worst five fatty 1st teamers receiving two nets each, so expecting a glut of pops in two or three weeks time.

Oh yes, and so nearly ****ed up my cup match, resting two many bowlers and TIEing when the oppos GFIed. Posted 400/5, Staveley 162 (121), Greening 109 (88), Patel 57 (44), Mohammed 42* (19). Then shipped 360/5!!! And they were up with the rate until at least 35 overs - That was real squeaky bum time!

Have a really odd second round draw, with ratings in their last few matches of: Qual/Abs/Abs - Prof/Feeb/Abs! What's that all about?

But can anyone top 760 runs in an OD match?

Later, Trev
