Kwame and Crittenton for Gasol is basically giving Gasol away for free. All the Grizzlies got was a salary dump and a lot of heat from the rest of the league and from their own fans. Could've done way better with any of the numerous offers they had for Gasol including the Bulls offers no matter how derisory you seem to believe they were.

Derrick Rose is a Chicago kid, I reckon they will go for him and then trade Hinrich for some quality elsewhere.

They would have gotten that anyway regardless of where they shipped Gasol. Bulls weren't willing to part with any of their young talent nor did they want to give any of their draft picks(Now we know why). Lakers gave them 3 draft picks, another Gasol . Lakers also gave them 3 Draft picks, somthing Bulls weren't even considering.
Also, Bulls have had a lot of chances in the past to get great players, they never made any sincere effort. They want to have the cakse and eat it too. Not going to happen. I want then to win but their GM is an idiot.

That's Funny because if one believes the rumor mill they weren't willing to part with Hinrich in the Gasol deal.

I've heard Bucher (I know I know) saying he's been on the block the past few weeks, and now by getting a potential superstar guard they can move him and solidify elsewhere. Being a Chicago kid ices the cake for them.
As for Beasley, all he looks like to me is a lazier slightly less talented version of Melo. Rose is definitely the more cerebral player and will definitely turn out to be the better player in the future from what I've seen.

Chicago got lucky in the lottery and have managed first pick, meaning cellar-dwellers Miami have 2nd pick. Bucks end up with 8th.

Alright, I know there are going to be a lot of mock drafts before the season is out but I liked this early mock draft from realgm.
I reckon guys like Love, Westbrook and Jordan could go higher than they're being listed though.
Grizzlies having Conley, Rudy Gay and Mayo in the same team could be a great future nucleus to the side.
Awesome that most sights have Nathan Jawai of Cairns expected to be drafted second round or last 1st even. Would be the first aboriginal Aussie to make the big league.
Shame, I'm more excited by the draft than any of the finals series going on right now.

yeah it's a shame, the west finals had a thriller last night with a tremendous comeback by the lakers...
i sincerely hope they do but i am not all that hopeful...they are not a self-destructive team, you've got to really play better than them to go through, i am just hoping the celts do that...
excellent time for the celtics to get their first road win...if they play to potential, they will beat the pistons...just on pure talent, the pistons are not in the same ballpark/stadium/arena...if k.g and co. show the same kind of hunger they showed today, they should go through convincingly...

Nothing tremendously against them, it's just that many of their fans(not all) feel that they have a divine right to win everything.what do you have against the lakers and the celtics(apart from them being big markets of course)...
Plus of course I'm a Sixers fan so it's natural for me to not like the Celts

A Sixers fan in Tyson Chandler NO Jersey upset at D'antoni not taking up Bulls Job and at Gasol for for going to Lakers.
Hey I like Lakers, they like winning, they get the best players, coaches, keep them too. I like their fans too because they expect nothing but the best from their team.
And then there is Jack, That alone should be reason enough to like them.

Lol, I like Chandler, he's my favourite C in the league that's why I have him as my av.
Couldn't care less about Mike not going to Chicago and have nothing against Pau but thought the deal was ridiculous considering they were consistently getting better offers for ages before, so don't know where you came to those conclusions.
I just don't have much time for glory hunter fans of which both LA and Boston have in spades.
